Job Summary

Job Description

The Site Services Manager will develop, execute, and lead improvements to environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring a safe workplace for employees and products. This role involves leading occupational safety, health, and environmental systems, overseeing the Facilities and Maintenance Department, and participating in facility security measures. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulations, identifying and eliminating system gaps, developing safety programs, conducting audits, managing training, and maintaining regulatory reports.
Must have:
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Identify EHS system gaps and develop compliance programs (e.g., JHA, PPE, LOTO).
  • Ensure all safety training for employees is compliant to regulations and laws.
  • Responsible for the completion, distribution, and organization of regulatory and company safety/environmental reports.
  • Conduct regular facility audits, site reviews, write reports, and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and implement training for new procedures and Job Safety Analyses.
  • Manage safety committee including continuous training and education for all members.
  • Maintain SDS program and facilitate employee participation in safety initiatives.
  • Work with Facilities Coordinator concerning contractor and vendor safety.
  • Increase and encourage safety awareness among all employees.
  • Comply with customer environmental requirements including RoHS, REACH, and conflict minerals.
  • Collaborate with Planning Team to develop and implement environmental targets and goals.
  • Provide new-hire safety orientations and coordinate hazardous chemical awareness programs.
  • Develop, maintain and/or update emergency response plans or procedures.
  • Maintain hazardous materials inventory using waste tracking systems per EPA/state regulations.
  • Work closely with certifying agencies to maintain ISO 14001 certification.
  • Handle confidential information with complete security.
  • Adhere to EMS and IATF 16949 Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide strategic leadership for EHS program development and implementation.
  • Provide leadership support to the management of the facilities and maintenance department.
  • Maintain understanding and knowledge of current applicable federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
  • Coordinate and conduct the injury review process to determine and correct root cause.
  • Lead and manage the implementation of injury reduction efforts.
  • Track and report operational safety performance.
  • Support the environmental functions of the business as warranted/assigned.
  • Maintain reporting requirements for the environmental calendar.
  • Conduct training for applicable environmental regulation issues as needed.
  • Conduct safety training programs for all levels of the organization.
  • Provide leadership and facilitation and drive for a sustained plant safety committee.
  • Function as emergency coordinator. Develop and drive emergency response and business continuity initiatives.
  • Lead the operation to best practices and best-in-class EHS results.
  • Assist the organization by participating in special taskforce assignments and special projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory industrial hygiene requirements.
  • Serve as the site security focal point.
Good to have:
  • General occupational safety environmental risk management and security experience desired.
  • Certified in First Aid CPR and AED preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Site Services Manager will be responsible to develop, execute and lead improvements to environmental, health and safety programs to ensure that the company provides a safe and secure workplace for employees and the products that we produce. Lead and engage in all aspects of occupational safety, health, and environmental systems. Oversee management of the Facilities and Maintenance Department. Participate in facility security measures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Identify gaps in the existing health, safety and environmental system and outline methodology to eliminate gaps. Develop, update and create programs to ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., Job Hazard Analysis, Personal Protective Equipment, Lock Out-Tag Out).
  • Ensure all safety training for employees is compliant to regulations and laws.
  • Responsible for the completion, distribution, and organization of regulatory and company safety/environmental reports and information.
  • Conduct regular audits of facility to evaluate equipment, physical facilities, operation techniques and procedures. Responsible for conducting site reviews, writing audit/review reports, review findings and making recommendations to management. Investigate and evaluate new safety equipment for appropriateness.
  • Develop and implement specific training for new procedures and tasks. Prepare and educate employees on Job Safety Analyses as needed.
  • Manage safety committee including continuous training and education for all members.
  • Maintain plant Safety Data Sheets (SDS) program and facilitate development of programs that empower employee participation in all areas.
  • Work with Facilities Coordinator concerning contractor and vendor safety.
  • Increase and encourage safety awareness among all employees.
  • Responsible for complying with customer environmental requirements including RoHS, REACH, and conflict minerals.
  • Work collaboratively with the Planning Team to develop company environmental targets, goals, and objectives, and implement action plans to achieve these goals.
  • Provide new-hire safety orientations and develop materials for presentations.Develop and coordinate “right-to-know” programs regarding hazardous chemicals or other substances.
  • Develop, maintain and/or update emergency response plans or procedures.
  • Maintain inventory of hazardous materials or hazardous waste using waste tracking systems in accordance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and state regulations.
  • Work closely with certifying agencies to maintain ISO 14001 certification.
  • Handle confidential information with complete security.
  • Adhere to EMS and IATF 16949 Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, or Industrial Hygiene; or closely related field.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of demonstrated EHS experience in a manufacturing environment with at least three in a leadership role.
  • Strong track record for transformative results through programs training and culture shaping.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of all federal, state and local EHS regulations including but not limited to, air, wastewater, storm water, solid and hazardous waste regulations.
  • Demonstrated success in EHS leadership and passionate commitment to the safety of others.
  • Demonstrated program development implementation and training success.
  • Must have a background and expertise in EHS recordkeeping, reporting, and compliance (ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, TS16949).
  • Certified in First Aid CPR and AED preferred.
  • Proficient with computers and demonstrated skills in office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
