Job Description

The HR Generalist will be based in Malmö, Sweden, and report to a Senior People Director. This role is crucial for executing business strategies across the employee life cycle, focusing on performance and talent management, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement, while ensuring compliance with Swedish regulations. The Generalist will provide HR advisory, act as a culture ambassador, and establish strategic partnerships with business leaders, coaching and supporting them with people plans and employee relations.
Must have:
  • Advise on HR policies, processes, and regional requirements.
  • Provide guidance on complex topics like sickness and parental leave.
  • Support and manage cases related to performance, employee relations, rewards, absence, probation.
  • Create and drive elements of the people strategy for your area.
  • Conduct one-on-one coaching with managers on performance and development.
  • Drive all people strategy, agenda, and related processes.
  • Complete performance management activities, talent planning, succession, assessments.
  • Lead design and implementation of local HR projects or programs.
  • Maintain awareness of local employment laws and update policies.
  • Determine, create, and track relevant OKRs and KPIs.
  • Own and manage HR data, delivering insights and metrics.
  • Influence important people-related decisions.
  • Support organizational development, re-design, and change management.
  • Act as a trusted labor law advisor.
  • Work with HR Centre's of Expertise (CoE) to resolve complex problems.
  • Identify and escalate employee relations trends.
  • Champion King's values and culture.

Job Description:

We are hiring an for Sweden based at our Malmö office in King. Reporting to a Senior People Director you will be a key individual of the People Team, with responsibilities for executing business strategies across the end-to-end employee life cycle. These will have particular focus on performance management, talent management, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement whilst ensuring that Kings stay compliant for all people matters required in Sweden.

You will lead on HR advisory topics therefore you should have a strong local jurisdictional knowledge and the ability to ensure that all required elements of an employment are followed and delivered successfully.

You will be an essential part of the Swedish community and a culture ambassador in all you do. A passionate role model for our Values, and a go-to person for Managers and Kingsters on the location.

YOUR ROLE WITHIN OUR KINGDOM

Business Partnering

  • Advises on HR policies, processes, and regional requirements, and provides guidance to HR Advisors and Employee Experience teams on complex topics such as sickness and parental leave, ensuring adherence to local employment laws.
  • Demonstrates strong collaboration skills and a clear desire to be an active, supportive member of the HR team. Works in close partnership with the HR Lead, contributing reliably, openly, and with a solutions-focused mindset
  • Supports and manages cases related to areas such as performance management, employee relations, rewards, absence, probation, and others
  • Establish a true strategic partnership with a diverse set of managers you will be accountable for creating and driving elements of the people strategy for your area of responsibility.
  • Conducts one-on-one coaching with managers on performance management and development-related processes based on established training agenda and communication plans; conducts or designs training sessions/events for employees and managers.
  • Continuously work with managers across the business to support and drive all people strategy, agenda and related processes, topics and priorities. This will include: performance management, talent management, succession, org design, data analytics and tracking, merit planning, compliance cases, communications and workforce planning
  • Use your energy, HR expertise and business acumen to establish a trusted partnership with a diverse set of business leaders, coaching, advising and supporting them with their people plans, talent needs and employee relations support
  • You will have accountability for completing relevant performance management activities, talent planning, succession, assessments and similar processes that drive the people strategy with high quality and integrity; including execution upon agreed to and approved plans

HR projects

  • Uses data to participate in identifying and anticipating training needs within a business, region, or geography; recommends customized solutions (e.g., training, communication) to address capability gaps, and coordinates and/or delivers training.
  • Leads the design and implementation of local HR projects or programs
  • Maintain awareness of local employment laws and take an active role in updating local policies, educating managers and work with peers in HR and legal on these update

Strategic HR

  • Use your strong data skills to be able to determent, create and track relevant OKRs and KPI throughout the year
  • Own and manage HR data for your function(s), delivering insights and metrics (e.g., turnover, retention, compensation) to inform decisions. Maintain employee data in Workday and personal files, identifying opportunities to improve data management practices, and ways of working with HR Advisors and our global Employee Experience team
  • Be a key influencer on all important people related decisions, ensuring that the business maintains alignment with the overall people strategy
  • Support the HR Lead to drive organizational development, re-design, change management in your areas. Through strong project management and communications skills.
  • You will have a growth mindset, prioritize your own growth and development and be curious about understanding and driving external benchmarks across both functional and HR areas.

Operational compliance

  • Be a trusted labor law advisors for your business
  • Work closely with HR Centre's of Expertise (CoE) to resolve complex and challenging problems through innovative and agile thinking
  • Identifies, raises, or escalates issues for trends in employee relations; works with their team to implement solutions to reduce employee relations issues for a business, region, or geography by collaborating with Human Resources and business partners (i.e., managers and employees).

  • Knowledge of Swedish employment legislation and labor law is a must
  • Excellent project managing skills – experience of supporting or facilitating cyclical people processes and projects
  • Communication – Use simple, engaging and appropriate ways to influence and communicate. Understand your strengths and style and know how to flex this in order to influence and have the right business impact
  • Data driven with a high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. You should be able to use data to demonstrate insights, inform decisions and visualize it to influence others through storytelling
  • Interest and experience in using AI tools to evolve the HR practice into a new future.
  • Brings solid experience navigating stakeholder management and handling operational tasks within a large corporate environment.
  • Fluent in business Swedish and English (written and spoken) essential.
