Job Description

Turner & Townsend is a global consultancy passionate about delivering better outcomes for clients and helping people realize their potential. This role is for an HSE Specialist to manage Health and Safety Systems on large-scale construction projects, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements, and supporting the Construction Manager in implementing HS procedures. The specialist will also be responsible for EHS reporting, training verification, and developing HSE plans incorporating OSHA standards.
Must Have:
  • Report the EHS (Health, Safety and Environment) control matrix of legal aspects, according to the type of works, processes and people.
  • Manage Health and Safety Systems on a large-scale construction project; and assist the Construction Manager in implementing HS procedures carried out on site.
  • Ensure that work methods are executed in accordance with legal and company requirements.
  • Ensure that work methods are executed in accordance with the main contractor's contracted scope and with the MSs (Safety Methodologies).
  • Perform and ensure adequate training and competence checks for the site team and subcontractors.
  • Schedule Monthly EHS Activities and KPI.
  • Report Daily/Weekly/Monthly Services.
  • Develop the HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) plan and support its execution incorporating OSHA standards.
  • Safety Engineer qualification.
  • Relevant experience in occupational safety, occupational health and environment in infrastructure, energy or projects operations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Gap assessment and identification of safety deficiencies.
  • Advanced experience with the MS Office suite (Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English.
