Sofitel Dubai the Obelisk is seeking a Bar Manager to oversee daily bar operations, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and lead a professional bar team. The role involves developing innovative beverage menus, managing stock, organizing promotions, handling guest feedback, and monitoring budgets, ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and compliance within a luxury hotel environment.
Must Have:
  • Manage daily bar operations and deliver luxury guest experiences.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a professional bar team.
  • Oversee service, ambiance, and bar performance.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and compliance.
  • Develop innovative beverage menus and manage stock.
  • Organize promotions, events, and beverage activations.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally.
  • Monitor budgets, revenue targets, and cost controls.
  • Conduct regular service and product knowledge training.
  • Foster team motivation and excellence; conduct regular check-in conversations.
  • Ensure grooming standards are adhered to.
  • Excellent English proficiency (reading, written, oral).
  • Experienced in all aspects of restaurant service.
  • Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times.
  • Excellent leader and trainer with strong motivational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • High degree of professionalism, sound human resources management capabilities, business acumen, energy and determination.
  • Proven organizational skills, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
  • Strong background in bartending and menu engineering with wine.
  • Exceptional spirit and liquor knowledge.
  • Up-to-date with F&B trends and knowledgeable of successful concepts.
  • Aware of digital platforms to enhance F&B offer exposure.
  • Degree in Hotel Restaurant Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of Hotel experience.

  • Organize promotions, events, and beverage activations
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally
  • Monitor budgets, revenue targets, and cost controls
  • Conduct regular service and product knowledge training
  • Foster team motivation and excellence; conduct regular check in conversations
  • Ensure the grooming standards are adhered to

Qualifications

  • Excellent reading, written and oral proficiency in English
  • Experienced in all aspects of restaurant service
  • Must be well-presented and professionally groomed at all times
  • Excellent leader and trainer with strong motivational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  • High degree of professionalism, sound human resources management capabilities, business acumen, energy and determination
  • Proven organizational skills, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results
  • Strong background in bartending and menu engineering with wine

  • Candidate should be up-to-date when it comes to F&B trends, and knowledgeable of the successful concepts
  • The candidate should be aware of the digital platform to enhance the exposure of the F&B offer

Additional Information

Degree in Hotel Restaurant Management or equivalent

Minimum 2 - 3 years of Hotel experience
