Job Summary

Job Description

The Card Shuffler is responsible for adhering to New Jersey Gaming Commission and PT Services NJ regulations and departmental policies. They attend gaming tables for card-change procedures, properly check and shuffle cards in the counting rooms, and follow shuffling procedures at tables. The role involves reporting risks, mistakes, or unusual activities to the Pit-boss, informing them to replace cards, evaluating card quality, assisting with training, and performing other duties as instructed by management. This role includes adherence to schedules and participation in educational events for professional development and to learn new procedures.
Must have:
  • Adhere to gaming regulations and company policies.
  • Perform card-change procedures at gaming tables.
  • Properly check and shuffle cards in counting rooms.
  • Report any risks, mistakes, or unusual activities.
  • Evaluate and keep track of the quality of cards.

Job Details

  • Adhere to New Jersey Gaming Commission Regulations and PT Services NJ regulations and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Attend gaming tables for card-change procedure according to the company’s’ procedures.
  • Properly check and shuffle the cards in the cards’ counting rooms (hereinafter, CCRs).
  • Follow terms of the shuffling procedures in the CCRs and at the gaming tables.
  • Follow schedule assigned when performing duties.
  • Immediately report to the Pit-boss of any risks or committed mistakes, problems and / or unusual activities in the gaming studios and other company’s premises caused by other employees or other causes.
  • Inform Pit-boss in a timely manner to replace and/or receive new cards or deck of cards for each shift.
  • Evaluate and keep track on the quality and visual look of the cards.
  • Assist training new shufflers if required by the management.
  • Attend all educational events, briefings, sessions required for professional skills improvement and learning the new procedures.
  • Perform any additional duties as instructed by management
