We are looking for:
Advanced Systems Group LLC. is seeking an experienced Implementation Engineer to join our high-performing team and assist with audiovisual systems integration projects while ensuring client success.
Our portfolio covers an array of projects including but not limited to designing, building, and expanding video production studios, sound recording studios, corporate event centers, video presentation systems, commercial sound systems, and screening rooms. The successful candidate will join our Broadcast Systems and Solutions team, which is comprised of an extraordinarily talented group of engineers and project personnel who thrive in our collaborative work environment with our dynamic portfolio of projects.
This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and will work on-site at client locations in that area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Attend daily meetings with our team(s) and/or clients for projects in various phases of project planning and deployment.
- Work with our teams during the project kickoff process to confirm specific site details are correct (building access, cable conveyance, raised floor/cable tray/conduit, existing power, power requirements, building/room layouts loading dock, plenum, non-plenum, 3G, 12G, etc.
- Work with our teams during the preliminary design review process to capture cable color code(s), labeling formats, custom BSP's, custom prefabricated cables/modules, custom furniture, etc.
- Estimate integration and engineering labor, and materials costs from equipment list(s), design/line drawings/room layout(s).
- Work with our teams during the critical design review to scrub the Bill of Materials (BOM) vs. the line drawings to ensure accuracy. Identify missing equipment prior to resources beginning fabrication or onsite installation.
- Perform the design review for error/corrections that need to be made.
- Perform the design tear off for creating wire-lists/cable pull sheet(s).
- Print/plot out design packages to ship out to our install teams.
- Work with engineering on red-line corrections in AutoCAD.
- Lead the onsite integration teams, when directed, to ensure installation activities adhere to ASG standards and are completed safely, on time and on budget.
- Maintain inventory of all ASG materials on site.
- Ensure onsite labor, including sub-contractors, are utilized in an efficient and productive manner.
- Represent ASG and our core values while onsite in action, communication, and appearance.
- Provide daily reports, with photos, during the course of the project. This should include:
- Resources onsite.
- Time that resources were onsite.
- Rooms/tasks worked on.
- Rooms/tasks completed.
- Schedule deviations.
- Roadblocks prohibiting completion of the contracted work.
- Capture red-lines as needed in Autodesk Build where applicable.
- Perform integration tasking as needed including but not limited to:
- Rack Build
- Cable Pull
- Cable Termination/testing/validation
- Equipment Mounting
- System Configuration/Testing
- Able to travel as needed up to 50%.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in AV systems integration.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience installing voice/data cabling, fiber optics, and related systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Clear and detailed understanding of project phases - construction process, installation, and integration.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Excel, Word, and Google Sheets tools.
- Possess basic hand tools to perform integration tasking such as screwdrivers, soldering iron, crimpers for CAT & SDI cables, etc.
Compensation & Benefits:
This full-time role offers a salary of $130,000-$150,000 depending on experience.
