Job Description

As Inside Sales Specialist, reporting to the Head of Inside Sales, you will be responsible for the end-to-end sales process in Italy. You will manage the entire customer journey, driving business with existing customers through cross-selling and up-selling, and expanding the customer base by identifying new prospects. You will also promote and sell Technical Service Solutions, execute proactive sales campaigns, qualify inbound leads, and maintain a structured sales pipeline in the CRM system. Continuous learning in products, applications, and sales techniques is expected.

  • Qualify inbound leads, evaluate customer potential, and ensure segmentation.
  • Maintain structured sales pipeline and accurate CRM lead management.
  • Continuously develop expertise in products, applications, and sales techniques.
  • Technical knowledge in non-destructive testing and measurement technologies.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial B2B sales.
  • Proven track record in customer acquisition and opportunity development.
  • Experience in lead qualification and sales funnel management.
  • Proficient in digital sales tools, virtual channels, and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Ability to translate sales and marketing strategies into actionable steps.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Fluent in Italian and English languages.
  • Quick learning ability and a proactive, self-driven work ethic.
  • Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers.
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Who will you be working with?

Evident Inspection Technologies, a Wabtec Company, is a world leader in the manufacture of innovative inspection equipment used in industrial and research applications in the aerospace, power generation, petrochemical, civil infrastructure, automotive and consumer products industries. We offer a wide range of ultrasonic and eddy current flaw detection software and equipment. Our equipment is used, among other things, to inspect welds, detect hidden cracks, voids, porosity, and other internal irregularities in various materials.

How will you make a difference?

As an Inside Sales Specialist, reporting to the Head of Inside Sales, you will be responsible for the end-to-end sales process in Italy.

What will your typical day look like?

  • You take ownership of the end-to-end sales process for your assigned customer portfolio - you're their trusted contact from first hello to order confirmation.
  • You manage the entire customer journey – from initial outreach to order placement.
  • You drive business with existing customers through cross-selling and up-selling as well as introducing new products
  • You expand the customer base by identifying and engaging new prospects through market research, application scouting, and targeted acquisition campaigns.
  • You are responsible for promoting and selling Technical Service Solutions tailored to the installed base across all customer segments.
  • You execute proactive sales campaigns for specific customer groups to boost engagement and conversion.
  • You qualify inbound leads, evaluate customer potential, and ensure correct segmentation and allocation.
  • You maintain a structured sales pipeline, following established processes and KPIs, and ensure continuous follow-up and accurate lead management in the CRM system.
  • Continuously grow your expertise through online and on-site trainings in products, applications, and modern sales techniques as well as Co-Travelling with field sales
  • Occasional travel within Europe is expected (Team Meetings).

What do we want to know about you?

  • Technical knowledge in the field of non-destructive testing and measurement technologies (like Ultrasonic Testing or Visual Inspection), ideally with a degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong technical understanding of complex products, such as ultrasonic testing devices, flaw detectors, and visual inspection systems.
  • At least 3 years of experience in industrial B2B sales, preferably in inside or field sales roles.
  • A proven track record in customer acquisition and opportunity development.
  • Experience in lead qualification and sales funnel management.
  • Reporting of sales activities
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and virtual channels in sales, along with hands-on experience with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce).
  • Ability to translate sales and marketing strategies into actionable steps.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Fluent in both Italian and English language
  • Quick learning ability and a proactive, self-driven work ethic – intrinsic motivation is key.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers across all levels.
  • A team-oriented mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Passionate about delivering value to customers and building lasting relationships.
