We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims team at Marsh as an Insurance Claims Handler Trainee. This hybrid role, based in Porto or Lisbon, involves supporting the risk business, handling and evaluating claims for international accounts, and providing quality service. You will receive training and mentorship to learn the insurance industry's day-to-day operations and develop skills to support business growth.

Must Have:
  • Work directly with various Marsh's national and/or international accounts
  • Evaluate claims related to Liability and Property
  • Follow up proceedings to cover, decline or ask for more documentation
  • Reply to standard customer inquiries regarding products and services
  • Answer, document and monitor call center calls, emails and transactions
  • Track client and claim information and log client data in spreadsheets
  • Degree in Law
  • Detail-oriented and organized profile
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English (at least B2)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft tools

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims team at Marsh. This role will be based in Porto or Lisbon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

You will be joining a dynamic team that supports the risk business, handles and evaluates claims related to one of our international accounts, and provides quality service as a Marsh representative.

You will receive training and mentorship to learn the ins and outs of the insurance industry, including the day-to-day operations of our company. You will work closely with experienced professionals to develop the skills necessary to support the growth and success of our business.

We will count on you to:

  • Work directly with various Marsh's national and/or international accounts;
  • Evaluate claims related to Liability and Property;
  • Follow up proceedings in order to cover, decline or ask for more documentation in order to re-evaluate;
  • Reply to standard customer inquiries regarding the products and services the Company offers;
  • Answer, document and monitor call center calls, emails and transactions;
  • Track client and claim information and logs client data in spreadsheets to assist with monitoring claim activity.

What you need to have:

  • Degree in Law;
  • Have a detail oriented and organized profile;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English (at least B2);
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft tools.
