This paid program, offered by CAE in partnership with EMAM and CAMAQ, trains individuals to become cable and circuit assembly specialists.   • Legally authorized to work in Canada and comply with Controlled Goods Program (CGP) requirements

Do you like manual work, precision, and electrical technologies? The Cable and Circuit Assembly program, offered at the École des métiers de l’aérospatiale de Montréal (EMAM), in partnership with CAMAQ, is for you! This program, paid by CAE, lasts 840 hours and combines learning hours in a school environment as well as in a factory, to start your career as an electrical assembler.

What you will learn:

Thanks to this practical and recognized training, you will develop the skills to:

  • Assemble and install electrical harnesses and enclosures,
  • Repair or modify complex electrical circuits,
  • Work with advanced equipment used in sectors such as aeronautics and electronics.

Admission conditions:

The program is accessible to several profiles:

  • High school graduate (or equivalent),

or

  • Be at least 18 years old and have passed 4th secondary courses in French, English, and Mathematics

or

  • Be 18 years old and have completed the General Development Test (TDG)A good knowledge of French, both oral and written, is necessary.

Internships are carried out in person at the CAE factory located in Ville Saint-Laurent.

Flexible and balanced training schedule

Courses Monday to Friday (27 h/week): Total training of 840h

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 2:35 p.m.

Wednesday: 7:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Internships:

Three internships (40h/week) are included in the program. The internship period will be determined at the beginning of your training.

If you are selected:

  • CAE will offer you competitive compensation during training hours and internships
  • Two internships are guaranteed during the training and one internship after the end of the program
  • Possibility of employment at CAE after training, depending on the company's needs

Important: Training fees will be at your expense, but the compensation offered by CAE largely covers the time spent on your studies

*All candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada and comply with the requirements of the Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hired individuals will be required to complete, sign, and return the Controlled Goods Program form within one week of sending. They will also need to provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students holding a work permit will need to provide a copy and a certificate of good conduct from the country or countries where they have resided in the last 5 years.

*Please note that if you hold a study, work, or international student permit, security verification times can take a minimum of 16 weeks.
