Job Description

The IT Site Referent is a key role within TAS Global IT Delivery, a transnational organization aiming to standardize IT team operations across all TAS countries. This role is the primary point of contact for IT operations at a specific TAS site, ensuring IT services comply with defined SLAs and KPIs. The Referent will support the execution and continuous improvement of the managed IT service contract, coordinate between IT, other IS domains, and the Business, and oversee IT equipment provision and asset management. They will also ensure IT security compliance and effective communication.

Must Have:
  • Serve as primary contact for IT operations at the assigned site, ensuring services meet agreed SLAs/KPIs.
  • Support the execution and continuous improvement of the new IT service contract managed by an external provider.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of IT architectural solutions in the IS domain.
  • Ensure technical coordination between IT departments, other IS domains, and countries.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with IT security according to IS security policies and regulations.
  • Ensure safe working practices are adopted by the internal team and various contractors.
  • Oversee the provision of IT equipment for end-users, ensuring optimal delivery, configuration, and support.
  • Manage and track IT asset inventory and ensure correct representation in the CMDB.
  • Manage the purchasing process, including orders and stock management for IT resources and services.
  • Ensure effective communication between management, IT service lines, users, and subcontractors.
  • Deep knowledge of ITIL processes and procedures for IT service management (ITSM).
  • Consolidated experience in managing operating systems (Server/Client) and main application software.
  • Expertise in network architectures and network security and firewalling solutions.
  • Experience in Data Center and IT solutions design and architecture.
  • Ability to independently organize and manage IT projects, respecting agreed deadlines.
  • Skills in cost analysis and budget management for IT services and products.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team, promoting high performance.
  • Expertise in analyzing and optimizing local IT solutions in compliance with JV technical policies.
  • Ensure data integrity in IT systems, including asset management, data, and backups.
  • Support for architectural studies and projects in the IS domain.
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills, with a focus on clear and incisive reports.
  • User-centric approach, ensuring IT services meet user needs and expectations.
  • Ability to anticipate IT needs and risks, proactively identifying and mitigating problems.
  • Strong problem-solving attitude, with the ability to respond quickly and find effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, locations, and cultures.
  • Experience in personnel management and promoting a positive and high-performing team culture.
  • Required Italian language proficiency.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role in the IT sector, preferably in a complex, multi-site, or multinational organization.
  • Availability to travel within Europe, if necessary.

DESCRIPTION OF THE TAS SITE IT REFERENT ROLE

Overview

TAS Global IT Delivery is a transnational organization covering all TAS countries, with the aim of standardizing the IT team's way of working as a single multicultural team and ensuring that IT service levels comply with standards.

IT Site Referent

The IT Site Referent is part of the TAS team and Global IT Delivery. They are the reference person for a specific TAS site, but this does not imply that this person limits their scope and perimeter only to their site, as they are part of a transnational organization and a local team (at national level). The role is fundamental to ensuring the smooth functioning of IT services at TAS sites, ensuring the implementation and continuous improvement of IT procedures and standards.

Mission and Main Responsibilities

The IT Site Referent will be responsible for overseeing IT operations at a specific TAS site. They will be the local point of contact but will be part of a global and multicultural IT delivery team. Their role will ensure that IT services are performed in accordance with defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), as well as facilitating coordination between IT, other IS domains, and the Business.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for IT operations at the assigned site, ensuring that services comply with agreed SLAs/KPIs.
  • Supporting the execution and continuous improvement of the new IT service contract managed by an external provider.
  • Participating in the design and implementation of IT architectural solutions in the IS domain.
  • Ensuring technical coordination between IT departments, other IS domains, and countries.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with IT security according to IS security policies and regulations.
  • Ensuring that safe working practices are adopted by the internal team and various contractors.

Technical Skills

  • Deep knowledge of ITIL processes and procedures for IT service management (ITSM).

  • Expertise in network architectures, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and mixed data/voice over IP networks, as well as network security and firewalling solutions.
  • Experience in Data Center and IT solutions design and architecture.

Reporting and Responsibilities

  • The Site IT Referent will report to the IT Workplace Management direction and collaborate with colleagues from multiple countries and service lines.
  • They will be responsible for weekly reporting on the status of service requests, incidents, hardware delivery, and overall IT service performance.
