Job Description

Work as an individual contributor and participate in the development, debugging and maintenance of NXP's flagship embedded software smart card products. Collaborate with cross functional teams across geographies to deliver high quality & secure software. Understand technical specifications, develop and debug code, and ensure system reliability. Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality deliverables.
Must have:
  • Understand technical specifications in the smart card domain and develop, debug code.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality deliverables.
  • Strong communicator with ability to understand diverse perspectives and collaborate within a team.
  • Debug complex issues across hardware and software layers to ensure system reliability.
  • Sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel for meeting the project and business commitments.
  • Exposure in Global Platform Specifications design and implementation mandatory.
  • Card Spec 2.3 and various GP amendments A, B, C, D, E, F, H and I.
  • Secure Element Config 2.0.
  • Programming Language – C, Java.
  • Operating System - Java Card OS.
  • Recent graduate (<2 years) with Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of Card lifecycle states, Data store, Logical channel management, Keys management, Card Content Management.
  • Knowledge of secure channel protocols (SCP 02, SCP03, SCP11 etc.).
  • Knowledge of contactless services, GP APIS and various CASD scenarios.
  • Basic understanding of hashing and symmetric/asymmetric cryptographic algorithms like SHA, DES, AES, RSA and ECC for various key lengths.

Mandatory Skill Set:

  • Standards
  • Exposure in Global Platform Specifications design and implementation mandatory
  • Card Spec 2.3 and various GP amendments A, B, C, D, E, F, H and I
  • Secure Element Config 2.0
  • Programming Language – C, Java
  • Operating System - Java Card OS

The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles.

Please note that the base salary range (OR hourly rate) is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs. This base pay range is specific to California and is not applicable to other locations. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range as of the date of this posting is:

$113,300 to $155,800 annually
