The Junior Cost Accountant will support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, along with inventory and cost-related projects. Job Details

General Summary
The Junior Cost Accountant assists with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close and audit processes, while also supporting various inventory and cost-related projects.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
•Assist with reconciling inventory in all locations to reports or physical counts. Collaborate with the team to resolve inventory discrepancies. *
•Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities including journal entries and account reconciliations. *
•Participate in the quarter-end and year-end audits and prepare supporting documents for auditor review. *
•Maintain the accuracy of inventory costs and ensure that all inventory reporting requirements are satisfied. *
•Perform standard cost rolls and work closely with Operations to justify standard cost changes and provide impact analysis for review and approval. *
•Assist with reviewing SOX controls and process documents to ensure adherence of internal controls.
•Collaborate with team members to implement process improvements and drive productivity.
•Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures. *
•Understands relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adheres to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company. *
•Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.*
•Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Minimum education and experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 1+ years of accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience within the manufacturing or life sciences industries preferred.
•Experience within the medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industry is a plus.
•Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
•High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. 

Working Conditions
•General office environment.
•Willingness and ability to work on site.
•Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
•Requires some lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds.
•Must be able to move between buildings and floors.
•Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day.
•Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets.
•Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed.
•Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels daily.

Base Pay Range Per Hour:  $27.37 -  $45.53
Individual compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
