As a Kafka Admin, you will install, configure, and maintain multi-region Confluent Kafka clusters, ensuring their availability, reliability, and security. This role involves monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, implementing disaster recovery, and automating deployments using configuration management tools, collaborating with development teams for Kafka integration and replication.

Good To Have:

Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Kubernetes.
Experience with multi-region Kafka clusters and Kraft.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams.

Must Have:

Install, configure, and maintain Confluent Kafka clusters and associated infrastructure across multiple regions.
Implement and manage multi-region Kafka clusters and ensure their availability and reliability.
Monitor the performance of multi-region Kafka clusters and troubleshoot issues.
Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans for multi-region Kafka clusters.
Work with the development team to implement Kafka mirroring, replication, and failover.
Configure and manage Kafka topics, partitions, and replication using Kraft.
Manage access controls, security configurations, and authentication protocols for Kafka clusters.
Collaborate with other teams for Kafka integration with data stores and messaging systems.
Automate deployment and management of multi-region Kafka clusters using configuration management tools.
Document multi-region Kafka infrastructure configurations and procedures.
Understanding of Kafka security, including encryption and authentication protocols.
Experience with scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Java.
Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
