Currently, GREE Group is strengthening its business diversification and revenue base, focusing on three core areas: "Games," "Metaverse," and "DX." With the transition to a holding company structure from January 2025, we are strengthening our human resources to enhance corporate governance and achieve sustainable growth for the GREE Group. In this position, you will be responsible for patent operations for the GREE Group's businesses (primarily game business). Initially, you will handle patent prosecution and FTO surveys, and in the future, you are expected to play a broad role in intellectual property, including negotiations with other companies, IP strategy formulation, and establishing IP governance that contributes to the business.
Must have:
  • Over 3 years of patent operations experience within a business company
  • Experience in invention discovery to patent prosecution, and FTO surveys
  • Smooth communication skills with business divisions
Good to have:
  • Experience in the game or IT-related industry

Job Description

In this position, you will be responsible for patent operations for the GREE Group's businesses (primarily game business).

Initially, you will handle patent prosecution and FTO surveys, and in the future, you are expected to play a broad role in intellectual property, including negotiations with other companies, IP strategy formulation, and establishing IP governance that contributes to the business.

> Specific tasks

  • Patent prosecution (invention discovery, filing, intermediate response)
  • FTO surveys for GREE Group products (primarily game business)
  • Other tasks to be undertaken in the future
  • Negotiations with other companies, dispute resolution
  • IP strategy formulation, design and improvement of business processes

Application Requirements

■ Required

  • Over 3 years of patent operations experience within a business company
  • Experience in invention discovery to patent prosecution, and FTO surveys
  • Smooth communication skills with business divisions

■ Preferred

  • Experience in the game or IT-related industry
  • Knowledge and experience in IP governance and risk management
  • Experience in designing or improving business processes

Salary

Negotiable

■ Monthly salary system

・Includes the equivalent amount of overtime pay for 45 hours. *Overtime exceeding this will be paid.

■ Salary review: Twice a year (February and August)

・Determined according to company regulations based on experience, performance, ability, and contribution.

■ Bonus: Twice a year (February and August)

・Determined based on company performance, individual performance, etc.

■ Probationary period: Yes (3 months)

Working Hours

09:30~18:30 (8 hours of actual work) 60 minutes break

Work Style

Currently, our company adopts a work style that combines remote work and office attendance.

Scope of Change in Duties to be Performed

Duties designated by the company

Criteria for Renewing a Fixed-Term Labor Contract (including limits on total contract period or number of renewals)

  • Renewal may be carried out after the company notifies the employee in advance and obtains the employee's consent, but automatic renewal will not occur.
  • The decision to renew will be made considering the following circumstances:

(1) Company's business conditions

(2) Changes in job content or contract terms

(3) Work performance, attitude, or attendance during the contract period

(4) Work execution ability or work efficiency

(5) Progress of work

(6) Changes in workload or workload at the end of the contract period

(7) Compliance with company regulations, including work rules

(8) Other circumstances equivalent to the above items

  • The term of the employment contract shall, in principle, not exceed one year, and even if renewed, the total employment period from the initial contract date shall not exceed four years.
