Our group is transforming into a sophisticated risk management system integrated with management strategy under a holding company structure. The Legal IP Department is a core department driving this transformation, and we are recruiting a next-generation leader candidate to lead the "Planning Legal Team," which will serve as its command center. We are looking for someone who can not only be a legal expert but also draw up and drive the execution of the department's overall strategy. As a manager of the Legal IP Department's planning division, you will lead everything from strategy formulation to execution for the entire department. Your mission is to maximize the overall performance of the department by collaborating with teams of experienced lawyers and legal professionals and maximizing their expertise.
Must have:
  • Experience in planning and leading the introduction of company-wide "system development" from scratch in a risk management, compliance, or legal planning department of a listed company
  • Deep practical knowledge of general contract law
  • High-level communication skills to explain/propose key points concisely and accurately to management
  • Project management skills to complete cross-departmental projects as planned

  • Legal qualifications such as a lawyer
  • Practical experience in legal and compliance in the IT/entertainment industry
  • Experience in GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) projects at a consulting firm or similar

Job Description

As a manager of the Legal IP Department's planning division, you will lead everything from strategy formulation to execution for the entire department. Your mission is to maximize the overall performance of the department by collaborating with teams of experienced lawyers and legal professionals and maximizing their expertise.

  • Design and Implementation of Legal and Risk Governance System:
  • Based on company-wide policies, design a management and monitoring system for critical risks (contracts, advertising displays, personal information, intellectual property, etc.) overseen by the Legal IP Department, and promote its introduction as a project manager.
  • Department Strategy Formulation and Execution Management:
  • Lead the formulation of the department's medium-term plan and annual goals, KPI setting, and progress management.
  • Plan and promote important projects such as AI utilization and functional transfer to subsidiaries.
  • Decision-making Support for Management:
  • Support accurate decision-making by management, such as the Board of Directors, by structuring complex legal and risk issues and clearly presenting discussion points, options, and recommended proposals.
  • Collaboration and Checks and Balances with Expert Teams:
  • Respect the expertise of each legal and IP team and support their activities. At the same time, from a planning and monitoring perspective, confirm consistency with overall departmental policies and, if necessary, encourage checks and balances and corrections.

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience in planning and leading the introduction of company-wide "system development" from scratch in a risk management, compliance, or legal planning department of a listed company.
  • Deep practical knowledge of general contract law, forming the basis of the above experience.
  • High-level communication skills to grasp the essence of complex issues and explain/propose key points concisely and accurately to management.
  • Project management skills to involve multiple experts and business divisions and complete cross-departmental projects as planned.

Preferred

  • Legal qualifications such as a lawyer.
  • Practical experience in legal and compliance in the IT/entertainment industry.
  • Experience in GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) projects at a consulting firm or similar.
  • Business-level English proficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Someone who is passionate about not just solving individual legal issues but also identifying their root causes and solving them through "systems."
  • Someone who can balance a respectful and supportive attitude towards experienced department members with the courage to engage in discussions based on overall departmental policies.
  • Someone who does not wait for instructions but proactively identifies issues and proposes and executes solutions, including problems that may be difficult for department heads and management to find.

  • Monthly salary system.
  • Includes an amount equivalent to 45 hours of overtime pay. *Overtime paid separately for exceeding 45 hours.
  • Salary revision: twice a year (February and August).
  • Determined according to company regulations based on experience, performance, ability, and contribution.
  • Bonus: twice a year (February and August).
  • Determined by company performance, individual performance, etc.
  • Probationary period: Yes (3 months).

Scope of Change in Duties

Criteria for Renewing a Fixed-Term Labor Contract (including limits on total contract period or number of renewals)

  • The period of the employment contract shall, in principle, not exceed one year, and even if renewed, the total employment period from the initial contract signing shall not exceed four years.
