Job Summary

As a Sr. Analyst, Compliance, you will support various business units and the Compliance team in maintaining adherence to legislation, contractual obligations, and TransUnion policies. This involves assisting with defining and implementing compliance processes, updating department policies, performing internal assessments, conducting external customer audits, and supporting risk and issue management programs. You will analyze data, make recommendations, and participate in projects requiring compliance expertise.

Must Have

  • College diploma or University degree in business, legal studies, or related field
  • 1-2+ years professional experience in compliance or risk function
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and escalate issues
  • Ability to work effectively with associates at all levels
  • Ability to work on projects independently and within groups
  • Knowledge of regulated environments, consumer issues, and privacy statutes
  • Experience reviewing legislation, legal documents, contracts, and drafting procedures

Good to Have

  • CCEP (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) certification
  • Bilingual in French (spoken and written)

What You'll Bring:

  • This position requires a College diploma or University degree in a business, legal studies or a related field (or equivalent combination of work and educational experience).
  • 1-2+ years of professional work experience functioning in a compliance or risk related function
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks where priorities shift and determine when to escalate issues.
  • The incumbent must be able to work effectively with associates at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to work on projects independently and within project groups.
  • Pre-existing knowledge of regulated environments, with an emphasis on consumer issues and privacy statutes.
  • Experience reviewing legislation, legal documents and contracts and monitoring and drafting processes or procedures.
  • CCEP (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) certification would be an asset
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Bilingual in French (spoken and written) is an asset.

Impact You'll Make:

A breakdown of this position’s duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the various business units and the Compliance team in maintaining compliance with legislation, contractual obligations, and TransUnion policies.
  • Assist/consult with business units in defining, creating, documenting and implementing compliance processes and procedures in their operational areas
  • Create and/or update existing Compliance department policies and procedures.
  • Perform internal assessments against Compliance Department policies and procedures and keep management informed of deviations.
  • Perform external customer audits, analyzing customer access to ensure compliance with legal agreements and internal policies and procedures and making recommendations, including suspensions or terminations, as necessary.
  • Support the Compliance Business Continuity, Crisis Management and Issue Management program
  • Gather data, analyze issues and make recommendations to ensure business unit compliance with existing policies and procedures. May also recommend and monitor the implementation of solutions for compliance issues encompassing various functional areas to ensure adherence to internal policies, federal and provincial regulations and to minimize legal exposure and liability.
  • To assist and participate as a stakeholder and consultant in projects/initiatives where compliance expertise is required.
  • Perform risk assessments on business units to ensure compliance with TransUnion policies, contractual and legislative obligations

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
