Titmouse seeks a Legal Intern to support its Business & Legal Affairs Department. Responsibilities include drafting correspondence and basic agreements, revising and proofreading contracts, conducting legal research, and analyzing contractual terms. The intern will collaborate with various teams across creative development, production, and finance, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. This part-time or full-time, unpaid internship offers opportunities to interact with executives and line producers, attend department meetings, and contribute to real projects. Ideal candidates are rising 2L or 3L JD students with a strong interest in animation and entertainment law.
Must Have:
  • Rising 2L or 3L JD student
  • 3.0 GPA or above (preferred)
  • Experience drafting/redlining (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Interest in animation/entertainment

Titmouse is looking for an intern who wants to learn about the inner workings of the Business & Legal Affairs Department while collaborating with various teams across creative development, production, and finance. The ideal candidate is pursuing a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree, has some experience with production contract drafting, and has a strong interest in the business and legal affairs aspect of animation and the entertainment industry. This internship provides direct engagement with supervisors for assignment discussions, feedback, and industry insights. Additionally, the intern will have opportunities to interact with executives and line producers to gain experience in the field.

This part-time or full-time, unpaid school credit internship provides hands-on experience in a dynamic, innovative environment within the entertainment industry. Interns can commit up to 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule to accommodate academic commitments. Participants will engage in real projects, gaining practical industry insights while developing professional skills.  

What You Will Learn

    • How to draft correspondence, basic template agreements, and other forms related to animation development and production.
    • How to revise, redline, and proofread agreements.
    • How to extract deal data from contracts for comparison.
    • How to conduct legal research and determine when it is needed.
    • Gain an understanding of contractual terms in various production agreements through comparative analysis.
    • Participate in special projects and perform other assignments as required.
    • Attend BA/Legal Department meetings to learn, ask questions, and offer ideas and suggestions.

What You Will Bring to the Team

    • You are in a rising 2L or 3L of a Juris Doctor (JD) program at an ABA accredited law school.
    • A GPA of 3.0 or above (highly preferred).
    • You are at least 18 years of age.
    • The ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
    • Strong communication skills and a team player mentality.
    • Some experience drafting and redlining (strongly preferred, but not required).
    • Strong interest in television, animation, and the entertainment industry.
