About the Team and the Role

You will be part of a small but ambitious team of 6 colleagues in CIO Service. We are a specialized practice within the larger Digital Impulse team, which consists of approximately 100 management consultants. This means you get close sparring from a specialized team while also being part of a large professional community.

We have broad and deep knowledge and are passionate about being with clients, especially helping CIOs create real change. We also highly value meeting at the office to spar, exchange experiences, and create new ideas together.

As our new Management Consultant, you will be the link between business, technology, and execution. Your mission includes highlighting technical debt as a barrier to progress and communicating how Application Modernization can unlock value, agility, and innovation.

Your tasks will include:

• Identify and articulate technical debt as a barrier to progress and digital transformation in client dialogue.
• Advise on platform strategy, architecture, and technology choices – from overall architectural design to detailed solution proposals.
• Create and prioritize concrete roadmaps and transformation plans for modernization initiatives – including estimation and business case.
• Prioritize modernization and manage execution – often via Devoteam's own technical teams or nearshore partners.
• Facilitate management dialogue and workshops, where you translate complex technical issues into clear business language.
• Communicate Application Modernization as a structured and value-creating discipline.

We imagine you are:

You are an experienced management consultant with 3-5 years of experience in IT consulting, EA, or Application, Data & Integration Modernization. You have a deep understanding of and experience with Application Modernization and the challenges created by technical debt.

In addition, you can contribute with:

• Ability to communicate complex technical issues in business language.
• Commercial understanding and ability to position delivery models (e.g., nearshore).
• Technical understanding and experience with complex IT landscapes.
• Knowledge of EA methods such as TOGAF, capability mapping, roadmapping, etc.
• Good communication skills and experience with management dialogue and facilitation.
