Job Description

As a Manager of Planning, you will be responsible for strategizing and planning primarily digital media campaigns. This includes coordinating with multi-channel teams to create integrated media plans, communicating with clients, managing deliverables, analyzing competitive landscapes, managing media budgets, and guiding media channel selection. You will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of digital media, particularly programmatic and paid social, and media research. This role requires 3+ years of experience in media planning, ideally digital, programmatic, and paid social. You will also be responsible for evaluating timelines and managing daily deliverables. The role requires strong communication skills, ability to analyze data, and familiarity with media tools.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Manager, Planning for one of dentsu's Technical accounts. You may be based in California (United States) or work West Coast (PST) hours. You will report into the Sr. Director, Planning. You must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the media space, specifically Digital (ideally programmatic and paid social) plus available media research and systems. You will lead the daily account needs by assuring focus on key client goals, and communicating appropriate resource needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and strategize primarily digital media campaigns
  • Coordinate with multi-channel teams to create strategic and thoughtful integrated media plans across channels.
  • Communicate with clients on questions and specific media plans
  • Evaluate timelines and manage daily deliverables
  • Analyze competitive landscapes, pulling reports using agency tools and compiling insights
  • Manage a large Media Budget and Flowchart
  • Guide media channel selection and identify new opportunities

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in media planning (ideally digital, programmatic, and paid social)
  • Experience pulling reports and analyzing the data
  • Experience communicating with clients
  • Familiar with Media Ocean, DDS, Nielsen Ad Intel, Pathmatics, Media Tools, Web Analytics, Ad Servers, and/ or other media tools

DESIRED, NOT REQUIRED:

  • 1+ years managing junior team members
  • Experience working on a Technical account

The annual salary range for this position is 62K- 84K . Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
