Job Description

The organization is looking for a Manager of Quality Automation and Performance Engineering to lead their quality assurance efforts. This role involves defining and improving processes to integrate quality into scrum teams, establishing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage across all product lines. The manager will also implement performance testing, translate requirements into tests, provide technical guidance, and mentor team members. The position emphasizes ownership of product quality and performance within scrum teams and participation in strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have experience in SaaS B2B2C and E-Commerce systems, CI/CD, performance testing, AWS, Agile, Product Management, and DevOps methodologies, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Define, develop, and enhance processes to embed quality within each scrum team and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality software.
    • Establish and communicate a comprehensive strategy for CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and performance metrics to drive alignment across the development organization.
    • Collaborate with architecture, cloud operations, and engineering teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks aligned with quality goals.
    • Lead the development of automated tests across all product lines to ensure comprehensive test coverage and facilitate rapid software deployment.
    • versee the operation of automated processes to support efficient development and deployment of software.
    • Define, implement, and monitor metrics and KPIs to guide decision-making and support continuous improvement efforts.
    • Implement performance testing frameworks and tests to provide real-time insights into system performance.
    • Translate customer and business requirements into quality and performance tests to ensure product reliability upon deployment.
    • Provide technical guidance and foster understanding of automation and performance testing solutions within the team.
    • Exhibit strong stakeholder relationship, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Support quality assurance (QA) programs and SDLC processes in alignment with QA strategy and deliverables in an Agile/Scrum/Kanban environment
    • Experience in managing test environment and test data management.
    • Ability to mentor and provide support to the team members in testing.
    • Cultivate ownership and accountability for product quality and performance within scrum teams.
    • Participate in strategic and tactical planning activities to achieve departmental objectives.

Required Skills & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field
    • 10+ years of experience in SaaS based B2B2C and E-Commerce systems, with hands-on expertise in CI/CD (5+ years) and performance testing (2+ years)
    • Proficiency in AWS or other large-scale cloud providers
    • In-depth understanding of CI/CD and automated testing best practices
    • Strong background in Agile, Product Management, and DevOps methodologies
    • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence outcomes at all organizational levels
    • Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to anticipate future needs and trends
    • Proven track record of problem resolution, team transformation towards automated testing, and enhancing product quality
    • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with other large-scale cloud providers besides AWS.
