About the client: Our client is a UK subsidiary of a global financial house working in multiple markets and asset classes.
About the project: We're seeking for experienced and enthusiastic Database expert to take part in the Microsoft SQL Server database migration project, as part of a distributed client team. Additionally, the team is responsible for support of different databases on different platforms, including Oracle, MSSQL, Sybase, Snowflake and MongoDB.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience with MS SQL Server and other databases. This role will be focused on the new development, but also required to take part in the L3 support of different databases, including on-call support once in 6-8 weeks, which is compensated additionally.
About our team: distributed multi-national team developing and supporting a range of client projects.
Working hours: 9am - 5:30pm UK time
About working environment: currently the team operates fully in WFH mode connecting to the client environment via VPN. Working form the office is possible upon request in the locations of Luxoft presence.
##### Responsibilities
- Communicating with client on requirement
- Programming in MS SQL, ETL (SSIS etc) , PowerShell, other shell scripts
- Writing unit and functional tests
- Providing L3 support (including on-call)
##### Skills
Must have
- At least 5 years of DBA experience with MS SQL
- PowerShell experience
- Experience with at least 2 of the following Database platforms: Oracle, Sybase, Snowflake , MongoDB
- Experience with financial domain
- Strong communication skills
