The role involves technical responsibility for new product launches in the Automotive Aftermarket, including planning and developing product and transport packaging, collaborating with international suppliers, optimizing existing concepts, and resolving packaging defects.
Must have:
  • Technical responsibility for new product launches in the Automotive Aftermarket: planning and development of product and transport packaging.
  • Cross-departmental collaboration on packaging introductions and changes.
  • Close cooperation with our international suppliers.
  • Optimization of existing packaging concepts.
  • Analysis of anomalies, root cause research and coordination for packaging defects.
  • Development of packaging material specifications, palletizing guidelines and approval protocols.
  • Testing and approval of packaging material samples in cooperation with internal and external suppliers.
  • Advising suppliers on the implementation of the product and brand protection concept.
Good to have:
  • Experience in automotive packaging
  • Experience in project management
  • Basic knowledge of Access and SAP

Job Description

  • Technical responsibility for new product launches in the Automotive Aftermarket: planning and development of product and transport packaging.
  • Cross-departmental collaboration on packaging introductions and changes.
  • Close cooperation with our international suppliers.
  • Optimization of existing packaging concepts.
  • Analysis of anomalies, root cause research and coordination for packaging defects.
  • Development of packaging material specifications, palletizing guidelines and approval protocols.
  • Testing and approval of packaging material samples in cooperation with internal and external suppliers.
  • Advising suppliers on the implementation of the product and brand protection concept.

Qualifications

  • Completed degree in packaging technology or completed technical/logistical training, each with professional experience and further training in packaging technology
  • Knowledge of procedures, processes and standards for packaging and packaging materials
  • Experience in automotive packaging advantageous
  • Experience in project management advantageous
  • Basic knowledge of Access and SAP desirable
  • Motivation for continuous professional development in the field, interest in market developments and new technologies
  • Fluent German and English skills in spoken and written word
  • Teamwork, organizational talent, and independent, goal- and solution-oriented work style
  • Confident demeanor both in supplier contact and within one's own organization
  • High customer and service orientation
