Job Description
The Payroll Specialist will process payroll for the India entity and assist with payroll preparation for multiple regions, maintaining accurate payroll and audit records. Responsibilities include preparing and processing monthly payroll for the India entity and assisting with EMEA & APAC regions. They will also maintain payroll records, verify compliance, handle employee pay and tax changes, and prepare payroll reports. Additional duties involve ensuring accurate application of Cost to Company (CTC) structure, including flexible benefit components, and assisting People and Finance Teams as needed. The role requires patience, confidence, and a natural drive to resolve challenges.
Must have:
- 5+ years of payroll administrator experience.
- Experience in payroll processing for multiple countries.
- Knowledge of Indian tax regimes and components.
Good to have:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of GDPR regulations.
- Strong mathematical/accounting acumen.

About the Role:
In this role, you will process payroll for the India entity and assist with the preparation of payroll for multiple regions, while maintaining accurate payroll and audit records. This position requires discretion, as well as the ability to enforce policies consistently and with tact. You will interact directly with the team to respond to payroll-related questions. Success in this role requires patience, confidence, and a natural drive to figure out how to resolve challenges as they arise.
Responsibilities:
- PAYROLL
- Prepare & process payroll for the India entity on a monthly basis and assist with processing monthly payroll for EMEA & APAC regions, including UK, IE, SG and AU
- Establish and maintain payroll records
- Verify payroll records are in compliance with established standards
- Make changes in the pay and tax status of employees
- Prepare error-free payroll-related management reports for accounting purposes
- Remain up-to-date on the Indian legal requirements relative to the benefits and payroll functions
- Be comfortable with compiling and assisting with audit requests related to Payroll and Benefits
- Journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations relating to payroll & benefits
- BENEFITS
- Ensure accurate application of Cost to Company (CTC) structure, including the correct allocation and processing of flexible benefit components such as allowances, reimbursements, and statutory contributions.
- Ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction
- AD HOC
- Assisting the People and Finance Teams as required
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience as a payroll administrator
- Experience with payroll processing in two or more of the following countries: UK, IE, SG, AU, IN
- Prior knowledge of EPF, ESIC, TDS, PT, and the workings of both old and new tax regimes along with the ability to thoroughly explain all components and deductions in an employee's pay slip and tax sheet.
- Proven ability to administer policy in an internal client-facing capacity with sensitivity & decorum
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of GDPR regulations & its impact on record keeping
- Strong mathematical/accounting acumen and attention to detail

Expected Compensation: (Dependent upon Experience)
Fixed CTC: 10 LPA - 12 LPA
Work Environment:
We offer a mix of in-office and hybrid working. Hybrid remote work arrangements are not available for all positions. Please refer to the job posting detail to determine what in-office requirements apply. Where applicable, hybrid WFH days work must be conducted from your home office located in a jurisdiction in which Madison Logic has the legal right to operate. WFH requires availability and responsiveness on a full-time basis from a distraction free environment with access to high-speed internet. Please inquire for more details.
