Job Description

Hogarth is seeking a Photoshop Artist with a strong understanding of Photoshop's technical aspects. The role involves working closely with the Senior Photoshop Artist and production manager. Key responsibilities include creating assets using software like Photoshop and Illustrator, ensuring accuracy to UI and screen standards, managing workload independently, collaborating with the team, and adapting to new skills and techniques. The candidate will articulate and resolve technical issues, create organized assets, and deliver quality assets within deadlines. The candidate should be a team player and look for opportunities to improve the process.
Must have:
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator to create assets
  • Understanding of complex layer structures and effects in Photoshop
  • Create files representing the client's software products
  • Manage workload independently and support other production artists
  • Ability to accept feedback and learn new skills quickly
  • Communicate and resolve technical issues clearly
  • Create assets that are easily modified by others
  • Deliver quality assets in a tight timeframe
  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of graphics production experience
  • Expertise in Photoshop, Sketch, and Illustrator

What does a Screen Photoshop Artist do at Hogarth?

Hogarth California is looking for a Photoshop Artist with a solid understanding of the technical side of complex layer structures and effects in Photoshop. This role will work closely with the Senior Photoshop Artist & the production manager. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Proven proficiency in the software required to create assets, including, but not limited to Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Solid understanding of the technical side of complex layer structures and effects in Photoshop
  • Ability to create files that represent the client’s software products, ensuring accuracy to the UI and adherence to the screen standards
  • Demonstrate reliable judgment as to manage workload independently while working as a team player to support other production artists as required to meet deadlines
  • Ability to accept feedback and learn new skills and techniques quickly
  • Ability to articulate and resolve technical issues in a manner that is clearly understood by Team Leads and other production artists
  • Excellent organization skills to create assets in a manner that is accessed and easily modified by others
  • Professional desire to deliver quality assets at high volume in a tight timeframe
  • Team player who is always looking for opportunities to make our process more efficient and organized

Requirements:

  • BA or BFA in Graphic Design, with a minimum of 3 years work experience in a graphics production related field and/or 5+ years in a corporate work environment
  • Must have a high level of expertise in Photoshop, Sketch and Illustrator
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and positive demeanor
  • Team player who is always looking for opportunities to make our process more efficient and organized
  • Flexibility and ability to respond quickly to changes in process and priorities
  • Highly organized individual who can communicate clearly and precisely
  • Excellent knowledge of digital file management and server navigation
  • Adaptable, focused and efficient
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Strong production portfolio with examples of complex executions

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
