Principal Fullstack Software Development Engineer

Location Details: Colombia, remote.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

GoDaddy is looking for a Principal Software Engineer full-stack to join our Developer Experience team. Engineers across GoDaddy's product teams use the platform technologies our team builds every day to help our small business customers start, grow and run their ventures. If you have the passion, enthusiasm, and ability to help power compelling web and mobile interactions for customers on their way to making their small businesses great, we would like to talk to you!

What you'll get to do...

• Write great code and create unit and integration tests that prove it.
• Participate in planning, architecture, implementation, and maintenance of client and server-side platforms and tools that engineering teams across the company depend on.
• Perform code reviews and participate in suggesting and supporting coding best practices.
• Participate in operations, release, and on-call activities in support of our platforms.
• Write, edit, and improve technical documentation.
• Engage with engineers & stakeholders across GoDaddy to solve problems with broad impact (from group-wide to company-wide impact).
• Support other engineers on the team.

Your experience should include...

• Experience working with highly agile development teams.
• 6+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• You have a strong understanding of JavaScript (client and server).
• Professional experience coding in a low-level language (C/C++, Java, Rust, Golang).
• Experience designing and building highly scalable APIs and microservices.
• You have a strong understanding of modern front-end technologies such as React.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Understanding of standard web technologies (HTTP, JSON, Network topology, etc.).
• Experience with DevOps and understanding what deployment means using systems like Docker, AWS, and/or Kubernetes.

You might also have...

• Experience building schema-driven UI.
• Experience implementing feature flagging and/or experimentation systems.
• Experience designing cloud-native architectures.
