Position Summary

Improves the performance design of existing products and oversees the Design & process and appearance of the final product. Additionally, also responsible for researching and developing ideas and designing new products.

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Improvement in existing products design.
• Design, model, and test the newly designed products.
• Establish design briefs according to standards.
• Create concepts, design, and ideas.
• Identify and select materials needed for production.
• Produce final 3D & 2D drawings and specifications.
• Create parts lists.
• Deliver the product specification, process & procedure to the production team.
• Make samples of working 3D & 2D models for demonstration in software.
• Use computer-aided design (AUTO CAD & SOLID WORKS) to design products.
• Document records for all project proposals and associated activities.
• Find creative design solutions.
• Perform market research to understand market requirements and initiate innovative product development.
• Analyse new components, materials, and technologies to evaluate functionalities for all new product development.
• Design new concepts for the development of new products and maintain technical compatibility to develop concepts into real products.
• Provide backup services by advising and developing innovative ideas, concepts, and methods for the same.
• Design innovative production techniques and provide support to existing ones for new design rollout.

Education

Degree/Professional course in Mechanical/Automobile.

Experience

2-3 years of relevant experience in Design & 3D modelling & Drafting

Skills & Competencies

• Previous experience as a Design Engineer or a similar role
• Previous experience in the mechanical /automobile production field
• Proven experience using Solid Works; knowledge of Auto Cad is a must.
• Good understanding of safety standards and environmental impact of a design
• Good understanding of mechanical production processes
• Ability to present in front of stakeholders and managers.
• Great computational ability.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
