THE CHALLENGE

Eventbrite has built its business on empowering event creators with tools to sell out their events and connect people through live experiences. As we aim to become the go-to destination for discovering and attending live events, we must ensure our payments ecosystem is resilient, efficient, and optimized for conversion.

We’re looking for a Product Manager to help shape Eventbrite’s global payments strategy—managing relationships with payment service providers, enabling the right mix of consumer payment methods, and ensuring that every transaction is secure, cost-effective, and trusted. This person will play a key role in delivering seamless, personalized payment experiences that drive business outcomes and delight both creators and attendees.

THE TEAM

You’ll join a passionate global team of product managers, designers, and engineers dedicated to building a scalable, efficient, and innovative payments infrastructure. We’re collaborative, impact-driven, and energized by the opportunity to help people connect through live events. The Payments team ensures Eventbrite can unlock growth with new demographics, reduce friction in transactions, and maintain the trust of our ecosystem.

THE ROLE

As the Product Manager for Payments, you’ll help define and drive the strategy for how attendees pay confidently and effortlessly. You’ll support initiatives that expand payment methods, optimize processing costs, reduce payment failures, and uphold the highest standards of security and compliance.

You’ll bring strong product instincts and a vision for what a world-class payments platform looks like. You’ll be comfortable iterating quickly on near-term opportunities (e.g., payment method adoption, fraud prevention improvements) while contributing to long-term bets (e.g., new PSP integrations, infrastructure scalability).

This is a high-impact role at the heart of the monetization journey, directly influencing our ability to grow and expand globally.

YOU WILL

  • Contribute to the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Eventbrite’s payments ecosystem.
  • Build and support strong relationships with global payment service providers.
  • Deeply understand the needs of our buyers and creators—and translate those insights into opportunities to expand payment methods and reduce friction.
  • Identify and prioritize initiatives that improve conversion, lower processing costs, and minimize payment failures.
  • Help ensure security, compliance, and resiliency remain central to all payment experiences.
  • Collaborate across engineering, design, analytics, marketing, and finance to deliver a seamless end-to-end payments journey.
  • Balance product experimentation, platform scaling, and technical investments.
  • Define clear goals and success metrics, and drive execution with energy, curiosity, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to keep everyone focused on what matters most to users and the business.

THE SKILLSET

  • 3-5 years of product management experience in consumer-facing products, ideally in ecommerce or marketplaces
  • Proven track record of contributing to impact in payments, PSP integrations, or transaction optimization.
  • Exposure to global payment methods, fraud prevention, or financial infrastructure.
  • Customer empathy and a user-first mindset, with experience leveraging research to guide decisions.
  • Analytical and data-driven, with experience using metrics to inform priorities.
  • Skilled at collaborating across disciplines and navigating technical and regulatory complexity.
  • Clear communicator who can articulate vision, strategy, and rationale to stakeholders.
  • Ability to contribute to and support cross-functional teams with focus and alignment.

BONUS POINTS

  • Experience working with PSPs, acquirers, or fraud prevention platforms.
  • Familiarity with payments compliance and regulatory environments (PCI, PSD2, 3DS etc.).
  • Experience helping optimize margins and payment costs at scale.
  • Background working on experimentation platforms or running A/B tests at scale

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
