As a Product Designer for Money Management at GoPay, you will be responsible for crafting user-centric products and services for Southeast Asia's largest payment application, impacting approximately 25 million users. Your role involves focusing on the user experience of the Money Management stream, influencing product and engineering teams to prioritize design backlogs that address user pain points or enhance delightful experiences. You will work on diverse problems, utilize data-driven approaches, and contribute to stream-level strategy and objectives. Key responsibilities include defining product briefs, presenting ideas, documenting the design process (research, ideation, usability testing, release monitoring), contributing to team discussions, and proactively seeking feedback from stakeholders.
Must have:
  • 3-4 years of experience in product design.
  • Data-driven approach to identify problems and map user journeys.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, Protopie.
  • Knowledge of design validation through research.
  • Excellent organizational and collaboration skills.
Good to have:
  • Ability to create quick prototypes.
  • Good sense of visual aesthetics.

About the Role

As a Product Designer, you’ll be part of a talented, dynamic, data-driven and highly analytical team that designs Southeast Asia’s biggest payment application, GoPay. You will craft user-centric products and services for the customer-facing interface that will impact the experience of ~25 million users. With extensive knowledge in Design Thinking and an interest in User Empathy you are expected to design solutions with combination of well defined flow, wireframes, information architecture, user journeys, storyboards, and delightful user interface. You will also be collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers at various instances of the project.

What You Will Do
  • Focus on the UX of our Money Management stream and manage expectations with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Influence Product and Engineering to take up design backlog that eases user pain point or increase delightful experience with micro-interactions.
  • Work on a diverse problem where analysis and data-driven approach is needed and become a key contributor with Product Manager to stream level strategy and OKRs.
  • Effectively deliver new feature/improvements for products that are already well-defined in scope.
  • Define the product briefs and be able to present the ideas/solution to the team.
  • Document the design process for each feature, such as research findings, ideations, usability testings, release, and monitor the impact after the product release.
  • Contribute to the team cadence discussion and make a short presentation to the team, as well as present team’s updates if needed.
  • Proactively seek/give feedback from/to stakeholders to make sure concepts are meeting the intended project goal.
What You Will Need
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in the product design industry.
  • Familiar with data and can identify problem areas, furtherly map out the user journey, and break these problems into smaller chunks.
  • Experience in analytics tools to gather customer data.
  • Possess a good knowledge of design fundamentals such as design thinking framework and otherframeworks in order to develop products.
  • Ability to sketch the ideas into a wireframe. Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Sketch, Protopie, and/or other industry design and prototyping tools.
  • Knowledge in design validation, either through quantitative or qualitative research.
  • Excellent organizational skills, project management, collaborative teamwork with a wide range of Stakeholders.
  • Bonus: Ability to create quick prototypes to validate ideas. Good sense of visual aesthetics, color usage, font usage to create impactful user interfaces.
