This summer internship position focuses on digital hardware design for Infrastructure products within the Motorola Solutions Electrical Engineering team in Schaumburg, IL. The intern will assist with design analysis and validation of RF Site product development, involving digital controller development, circuit simulation, automated testing using LABVIEW or Python, and bench-level testing with various equipment. The role requires a highly motivated individual pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, graduating on or after December 2026.

Good To Have:

Basic rework and soldering skills.

Must Have:

Digital controller development and test support for Microprocessors, Memory, FPGAs, and communication interfaces.
Circuit simulation of Electrical designs and utilizing the latest test equipment for circuit analysis and certification.
Automated test setup and execution using LABVIEW or Python scripting.
Bench-level testing using an Oscilloscope, DC PS, and multimeter.
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Must graduate on or after December 2026.
Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident, or an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for master's-level students).

Job Description

A summer internship position with a primary focus on digital HW design for Infrastructure products. The position seeks a highly motivated individual to work under the guidance of a seasoned professional to assist design analysis and validation of the RF Site product development.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:

Digital controller development and test support for Microprocessors, Memory, FPGAs, and communication interfaces such as Ethernet and USB.
Circuit simulation of Electrical designs and utilizing the latest test equipment for circuit analysis and certification.
Automated test setup and execution using LABVIEW or Python scripting.
Bench-level testing using an Oscilloscope, DC PS, and multimeter is required.
Basic rework and soldering skills are desired.
