Job Description

Worcester Bosch is seeking a Production Engineer to join their Manufacturing team. The role involves innovating and delivering improvements to enhance production facility efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Key responsibilities include delivering new products, establishing efficient and sustainable processes, representing the Worcester facility within the Bosch International Production Network (IPN), leading continuous improvement for quality, cost, and delivery, reducing internal and external failure costs using Zero Defect techniques (Jidoka, Poke Yoke, PFMEA, Control Plan), and implementing Bosch Production System (BPS) principles on the shop floor. The role also requires acting responsibly and proactively to ensure safe and environmentally friendly processes and workspaces in compliance with Health and Safety regulations and internal Environmental Protection policies.
Must have:
  • Degree in engineering/design field
  • Delivery of new products
  • Establish efficient/sustainable processes
  • Lead CI for quality/cost/delivery
  • Reduce failure costs using Zero Defect techniques
  • Implement BPS principles
Good to have:
  • Represent facility in Bosch IPN

Job Description

We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join our Manufacturing team as a Production Engineer!

Exciting opportunity to join the production engineering department at Worcester Bosch. We’re looking for a candidate who thrives on innovating and delivering improvements to make our production facility more efficient and cost effective to operate. 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Projects are wide ranging and interesting, including:

  • Delivery of new products 
  • Establishing new efficient and sustainable processes.
  • Represent Worcester facility within the Bosch International Production Network (IPN).
  • Lead Continuous Improvement Process for quality, cost and delivery performances.
  • Reduction of internal and external failure costs by systematic use of Zero defect techniques (Jidoka, Poke Yoke, PFMEA, Control Plan).
  • Responsible for implementation of Bosch Production System (BPS) principles on shop floor.
  • Act responsibly and pro-actively to ensure Safe and Environmentally friendly processes and workspaces according to Health and Safety regulations and internal Environmental Protection policies.

Expected Start Date: 01.08.2025 - Please note that this date is advisory and can be flexible within reason.

Working Hours: 39 hours per week – standard working pattern of 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 16:00 Friday with a 1-hour lunch break
