Job Description & Summary
We are looking for a motivated and effective Project Controller/Financial Analyst with 1–3 years of relevant experience to support the financial and operational management of projects. This role is ideal for someone who has already worked in project environments and is ready to take on more responsibility in managing and streamlining the financial controls and operational processes including budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control project budgets, actuals and forecasts to ensure accuracy mainly of the project costs. Perform variance analysis to ensure financial health in agreement with the project key stakeholders while initiating adjustments, intercompany transfers and accruals.
- Monitor financial reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and oversee the project structure related to the reporting and operational tools.
- Act as the primary contact for the internal financial key stakeholders to promote smooth workflow and information exchange and provide comprehensive assistance to the management and leadership supporting strategic initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Facilitate clear and timely communication within the team to ensure alignment on financial and operational matters.
- Coordinate forecasting and budgeting activities in collaboration with finance stakeholders.
Requirements of the role
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Fluency in Czech and English language.
- 1–3 years of experience in project controlling financial analysis including solid understanding of cost control processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Exposure to international projects or cross-functional teams.
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
- Financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive mindset, anticipating potential issues and addressing them before they escalate.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership over projects and outcomes, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
- Capability to identify risks early and implement solutions to prevent problems.
