This new vacancy supports the growth of our Production department, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards. Reporting to the Installations Director, the Project Manager will plan and lead the physical design and delivery of complex audio-visual installations. This role involves taking full ownership from technical development to after-sales support, leading on-site operations, and coordinating with internal teams, clients, and contractors. Strong communication and engagement with AV technology are essential for this role.
Must have:

  • Take ownership of each project to work for our clients to bring the best possible end-result whilst ensuring that budgets and standards stay on track.
  • Organise and chair internal project meetings as required.
  • Lead the coordination of Pixel Artworks’ designs with the construction design and works of other contractors during project planning.
  • Understand the technology we use and our creative process to ensure that the full interest of the company’s involvement in the project is represented at site meetings.
  • Liaise with other contractors on site – coordinate the resolution of emergent site issues in an efficient way whilst protecting the interests of Pixel Artworks and the client.
  • Organise procurement, equipment, logistics, labour and scheduling of each project.
  • Ensure all project design and planning documentation is kept up to date; is shared with and understood by all relevant affected parties.
  • Manage the department project budget, ensuring that planned activities are appropriately costed for before work starts.
  • Assist with the sales and planning process of our installations projects.
  • Ensure a smooth transition through each stage of the project from sales and planning to design and delivery and in-use support.
  • Be committed to supporting Pixel Artworks’ sustainable goals and track carbon impact of projects.
  • Be based in our London office, but travel to project sites, occasionally overseas.
Good to have:
  • Previous experience in audio-visual system integration
  • Proven experience working with and managing multiple contractors in a build/fit-out environment
  • Knowledge of a wide range of audio-visual technology – including: LED screens, large format and installation projectors, LED & LCD display panels, Architectural and entertainment lighting, Audio playback and public address, AV control and integration control systems, Video conferencing
  • Knowledge of media server technology – specifically: Medialon, Crestron, Kramer, Disguise, Pixera, Touchdesigner, Brightsign and Resolume – training will be provided where required.
  • Relevant qualifications for site project management: Health & safety management accreditation, CSCS/ECS/CTS accreditation and Project management/leadership training

Role summary

We are looking to expand the capacity of our Production department to deliver projects to the highest standards. This is a new vacancy being created to support our growth.

Reporting to the Installations Director, the Project Manager will be required to plan and lead the physical design and delivery of installations projects. Having supported the sales process, the successful candidate will take full ownership of the technical development, delivery and after-sales support of complex audio-visual installations. Technology (system design and workflow) and video content are supported by other team members.

The applicant will lead all on-site operations for each project, leading a team of specialist staff and contractors as part of a wider construction process, or as principal contractor on smaller retro-fit installations. Communication and engagement with AV technology is key, as they’ll be coordinating with out technology department and creative studio whilst also liaising with the client and other contractors.

Person specification

Required attributes:

  • Highly organised communicator
  • Attention to detail & commitment to the highest standards of safety and quality
  • AV industry experience & technical knowledge – specifically video but also networking & audio
  • Commitment to working deadlines
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible and unsocial hours as required to support projects
  • Desire to learn and grow expertise in key support areas: Installation infrastructure MEP requirements, Developing and communicating system design using AutoCad or Vectorworks and the Microsoft 365 suite

Desirable experience and skills:
