Job Description

As a Senior Client Activation Manager within the Account Operations department, you will manage key cross-platform partnerships with Morning Brew’s clients. This client-facing role involves activating integrated marketing partnerships, providing tactical recommendations, and acting as a point of contact throughout execution. You will collaborate across teams from development to delivery for various content products, including budgeting and timeline management, turning ideas into reality with a tactical and solutions-oriented approach.

Must Have:
  • Independently manage integrated marketing campaigns (custom content, newsletter, podcast, social, video, on-site).
  • Partner with Account Managers on newsletter partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Pre-Sale Marketing, Sales, Account Manager & Post-Sale Creative Studios.
  • Own advertising partner’s transition from pre-sale to post-sale.
  • Schedule production kickoffs and manage creative check-ins.
  • Lead client calls and provide white glove client service.
  • Create production timelines and communicate with internal teams.
  • Produce best-in-class content with client objectives in mind.
  • Act as production manager for clients on set.
  • Update and maintain team trackers, indexes, and shared docs.
  • Manage 3P External Vendors/Partners for content production.
  • Route third party invoices and record actualized costs.
  • Manage Campaign Recap + QBRs on custom content.
  • Provide key insights from past campaign executions.
  • Work closely with the team to improve workflows and processes.
  • Recommend cost-effective strategies and production efficiencies.
  • Potential to manage 1x direct report.
  • Responsible for onboarding + training direct report.
  • Manage continuous check-ins for direct report.
  • Ability to prioritize workload + time management effectively.
  • Ability to provide direct feedback.
  • Ability to decipher when to be an individual contributor and when to be a manager.

OVERVIEW

As part of our Account Operations department, the Senior Client Activation Manager will be responsible for the management of key cross-platform partnerships with Morning Brew’s clients. They will play a crucial role in activating our integrated marketing partnerships and providing tactical recommendations for our partnerships.

This role is client facing and will involve relaying your content execution expertise by acting as a point of contact for our clients throughout the execution process.

You will collaborate across teams to take branded content ideas from development to delivery across our experiential, branded, custom, video and audio products. This includes budgeting and timeline development in the pre-sale process and managing all aspects of production in post-sale. HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON

  • Independently manage integrated marketing campaigns that may include any of the following: custom content, newsletter placements, podcast ads, editorial sponsorships, social, video, on-site content, etc.
  • Partner with Account Managers on newsletter partnerships
  • Collaborate with Pre-Sale Marketing Teams, Sales, Account Manager & Post-Sale Creative Studios (design, branded, video, production) teams to ensure projects are developed and delivered on time, in scope, and within budget
  • Own the advertising partner’s transition from pre-sale to post-sale ensuring that we understand client KPIs, our recommended strategy & presenting that strategy to our partners
  • Schedule production kickoffs and manage creative check-ins with internal teams to clarify roles and responsibilities.
  • Lead client calls and provide white glove client service to ensure client retention.
  • Create production timelines and communicate with internal teams in both written and verbal scenarios, following up with next steps, and tackling client challenges with positivity
  • Produce best-in-class content with the client’s objectives in mind and act as an interpreter of client feedback
  • Acts as production manager for clients on set for all planned productions
  • Update and maintain team trackers, indexes, and other shared team docs
  • Manage 3P External Vendors/Partners for content production
  • Route third party invoices to Accounts Payable for processing & record actualized costs in master budget tracker, upload and log all campaign expenses
  • Manage Campaign Recap + QBRs on custom content
  • Provide key insights from past campaign executions to optimize future campaign recommendations.
  • Work closely with the team to improve workflows and processes and communicate them to the organization
  • Recommend cost-effective strategies and production efficiencies in pre-sale

MANAGERIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Potential to manage 1x direct report.
  • Responsible for onboarding + training of that individual and managing continuous check-ins.
  • Ability to prioritize workload + time management effectively.
  • Ability to provide direct feedback.
  • Ability to decipher when to be an individual contributor and when to be a manager.
  • Ability to support a direct report on their day to day work.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-6 years project management experience in media working with cross-functional teams in a digital or creative environment (publisher experience preferred)
  • Self-starter who thrives in both independent and collaborative work with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem solving skills and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Detail-oriented team player with outstanding organizational and communication skills to manage multiple projects and internal work relationships
  • Ability to read the room & collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

COMPENSATION

$95,000 - $100,000 *Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience. Total offer package to include benefits highlighted under our perks section below
