hy is looking for a motivated Project Manager for the Innovation and Ventures team to redefine consulting. The team identifies and develops growth opportunities for clients, creating sustainable solutions for scaling innovative business models. The role involves managing projects across various industries, ensuring excellent delivery and impact, building MVPs and products, validating ideas, and defining product visions. The Project Manager acts as a key contact for clients, responsible for project management, client meetings, and presentations, while also shaping hy's modern consulting approach and utilizing AI-powered applications.
Must have:
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in demanding environments such as consulting, corporate innovation, company builder or start-ups with extensive experience in the development and realization of new digital business models.
  • Focus primarily on analytical topics or experience in business model development, product development and technology integration.
  • Master's or equivalent degree.
  • Deep understanding of innovation processes, new technologies and digital business models in both B2B and B2C.
  • Initial leadership experience.
  • Ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify patterns in large datasets and derive pragmatic recommendations.
  • Authentic and confident presentation style, fluent in negotiations in English and German.
  • Independent use of various AI-supported applications in your work.

  • Experience in founding a company or running a 'side hustle'.

Your Team

In the Innovation & Ventures team, we identify and develop promising growth opportunities for our clients and create sustainable solutions for the successful scaling of innovative business models.

With the systematic validation of business ideas along the dimensions of Desirability, Viability, and Feasibility, we create the basis for sound entrepreneurial decisions. We advise our clients on the implementation of a business idea with regard to a build, partner, or investment strategy and actively support them as partners in its implementation. We consider the entire value chain, starting from intelligent supplier management, through necessary transformation processes in production, to digital customer interfaces in sales and communication. We also support our clients as competent co-entrepreneurs or investors in building an MVP, a Minimum Viable Venture, or in scaling existing business models. We always act as if it were our own business and always work for the success of our clients.

Your Mission

  • As an Engagement Manager (Project Manager), you will work on projects in various industries and with different topics, being responsible for conception, control, and execution, among other things. You ensure excellent delivery and targeted impact of the projects.
  • You are responsible for building MVPs and products or product areas for our clients as well as internally at hy.
  • You validate ideas based on prototypes, analyze data collected during validation, and define product visions, strategies, and roadmaps.
  • As a contact person for our clients, you are significantly responsible for project management, preparation of client meetings, and excellent client presentations.
  • You shape our approach to redefining management consulting in your role as a team player and modern leader.
  • You independently use various AI-supported applications in your work.

What we wish for

  • You bring at least 5 years of professional experience in demanding environments such as consulting, corporate innovation, company builder or start-ups with extensive experience in the development and realization of new digital business models.
  • Your focus was primarily on analytical topics or you have gained experience in business model development, product development and technology integration.
  • A big plus is if you have founded a company yourself or run a "side hustle".
  • You have a Master's or equivalent degree.
  • You bring a deep understanding of innovation processes, new technologies and digital business models in both B2B and B2C.
  • You have gained initial leadership experience. Communication with various stakeholders is not a problem for you.
  • Large datasets do not deter you. On the contrary, they allow you to recognize patterns that you creatively process with your outstanding analytical skills to derive pragmatic recommendations for action.
  • Your presentation style is authentic and confident, and you are fluent in negotiations in English and German.
