POLITICO Pro is seeking an experienced Account Manager to proactively manage existing subscriber accounts, focusing on client relationship building and revenue growth. The role involves cultivating long-term client relationships, understanding client needs, and developing creative solutions. Responsibilities include owning a pool of accounts, executing service plans, securing renewals, and representing POLITICO at industry events. Candidates should be data-informed decision-makers with 3-5 years of B2B sales or account management experience, excellent communication, and a strong client service ethic.
Must have:
  • Manage existing subscriber accounts, serving as client’s main point of contact
  • Build relationships and grow revenue for existing accounts
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with clients and agencies
  • Uncover client needs and develop thoughtful, creative solutions
  • Own a pool of accounts, ensuring best delivery from Politico Professional Services
  • Develop and execute customized account service plans
  • Develop opportunities for upsell and secure renewals
  • Solicit feedback on content and delivery of services
  • Represent POLITICO at member briefings, network events and industry conferences
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in B2B sales or account management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial mind set and strong client service ethic
  • A university degree is required
  • Written and verbal fluency in English
Good to have:
  • Exposure to Salesforce or other CRM tools
  • Interest in and understanding of current political and policy issues
  • International experience
  • French or German fluency

POLITICO Pro seeks experienced, talented and smart candidates who work proactively to achieve business objectives while maintaining a culture of collaboration, development and achievement. The Account Manager position is a mid-level sales position with the primary objective of managing existing subscriber accounts, including serving as the client’s main point of contact, building relationships and growing revenue.

  • A data-informed decision maker who leverages Salesforce or other CRM and performance metrics to drive growth

What You'll Do:

  • Own a pool of accounts, having full ownership of the service provided, and ensuring they get the best delivery from Politico Professional Services
  • Develop and execute customized account service plans to maximize subscriber value
  • Develop opportunities for upsell and secure renewals
  • Solicit feedback on content and delivery of services, and channel market feedback to improve upon Pro service offerings/user experience
  • Represent POLITICO at member briefings, network events and industry conferences

What You'll Need:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience, including business-to-business sales or account management
  • Excellent communication skills, entrepreneurial mind set and strong client service ethic
  • Exposure to Salesforce or other CRM tools is preferred
  • Interest in and understanding of current political and policy issues is a plus
  • A university degree is required, international experience is a plus
  • Written and verbal fluency in English is required, French or German is a plus.
