In the Controlling role, you will significantly contribute with your reports, analyses, scenario calculations, and presentations to take the right measures early on and to develop recommendations for action and strategies for the future of idealo. Must Have

• Responsible for all typical controlling issues: from corporate governance to profitability calculations and operational processes.
• First point of contact for selected stakeholders like management, department heads, accounting, or auditors.
• Takes holistic responsibility as a business partner for individual business areas and is responsible for measuring and implementing strategy.
• Manages the Sustainability area and is independently responsible for reporting and related data requirements.
• Prepares and analyzes monthly and annual financial statements according to IFRS and HGB, and related regular reports for shareholders.
• Key factor in preparing, executing, and developing annual operational planning and interim forecasts.
• Several years of experience in controlling.
• Profound knowledge in Business Intelligence and profitability calculations.
• Completed degree in economics with specialization in Controlling/Finance (ideally).
• Familiar with all common controlling instruments and methods.
• Strong affinity for numbers, analytical and communication skills.
• Extensive experience in common MS-Office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint), SAP, Tableau, and Jedox.
• Very good German and good English language skills.

Your tasks

• As a Controller at idealo, you are responsible for all typical controlling issues: from corporate governance to profitability calculations and operational processes.
• You are the first point of contact for selected, relevant stakeholders such as management, department heads, accounting, or auditors.
• As a Business Partner, you take holistic responsibility for individual business areas and are responsible for measuring and implementing the strategy.
• You manage the Sustainability area and are independently responsible for reporting and related data requirements.
• You prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements according to IFRS and HGB, as well as the associated regular reports for shareholders.
• Furthermore, you are a decisive factor in the preparation, execution, and further development of annual operational planning and interim forecasts.

Job Requirements

What you bring

• You already have several years of experience in controlling. Sound knowledge in the areas of Business Intelligence and profitability calculations completes your profile.
• Ideally, you have completed a degree in economics with a specialization in Controlling/Finance.
• You are familiar with all common controlling instruments and methods and enjoy applying them independently and practically.
• Your strong affinity for numbers, as well as your analytical and communication skills, help you to evaluate data in a user-oriented way, to create analyses independently and structured, and to understand and present complex relationships.
• You have extensive experience in common MS-Office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint), as well as in SAP, Tableau, and Jedox.
• Finally, you have very good German and good English language skills.
