Must have:
  • Degree in Engineering or related Discipline
  • 5 years experience in pipe or vessel fabrication
  • Perform audits and assess Quality Management System
  • Competency in Inspection Procedures
  • Knowledge of Industrial Codes and Standards
  • Competent with Computers and Phones
  • Advanced Microsoft applications skills
  • Excellent Typing skills
  • Read and write technical reports
  • Read and Understand Engineering Drawings
  • Review and approve NDE Procedures
  • Review and approve Welding Procedures
  • Review and interpret customer specifications
  • Identify and disposition Non-Conformances
  • Prepare a Project Quality Plan
  • Identify and carryout a Punch list for Fabrication
  • Work Closely with Product Groups
  • Be on Time
  • Able to come in early, stay late, or attend meetings overnight
  • Ability to Travel- Locally and Abroad
  • Prepare and review Inspection and Test Plans
  • Provide clear and concise direction
  • Communicate well with colleagues and customers
  • Review and interpret quality records and reports
  • Knowledge on calibration of equipment
  • Ability to Plan and Schedule
  • Perform inspections
  • Use inspection tools
  • Assess cost of inspections and testing
  • Familiar with NDE Procedures and Test
  • Familiar with Fabrication process for combustion equipment/piping/vessels
  • Familiar with Welding
  • Organized and able to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to Multi-Task
  • Must be able to prioritize
  • Must be able to lead Pre-Inspection and other customer meetings
  • Be a Team Player
  • Ability to chair a Corrective Action Team
  • Has Good Judgement

QA/QC Engineer Job Description
 
A Zeeco Quality Engineer is an Engineer who helps identify and solve everyday process problems. Quality Engineers ensure the quality standards for both the customer and Zeeco are being met. Quality Engineers prioritize quality over schedule and work closely with supply chain and inspectors to ensure fabrication is performed in accordance with Zeeco's high quality standards. Quality Engineers should be able to carry 70-100 projects over the course of the year, with many being at the same time. Quality Engineers should be on time, well organized, and have a great ability to multi-task.
 

    • A degree in Engineering or related Discipline
    • At least 5 years of experience in pipe or vessel fabrication
    • Able to perform audits and assess Quality Management System
    • Have Competency in Inspection Procedures
    • Have knowledge of Industrial Codes and Standards (ASME, ASTM, API, AWS, ISO, etc)
    • Competent with Computers and Phones
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
    • Excellent Typing skills
    • Read and write technical reports
    • Able to Read and Understand Engineering Drawings
    • Ability to review and approve NDE Procedures per applicable code.
    • Ability to review and approve Welding Procedures per applicable code.
    • Ability to review and interpret customer specifications.
    • Ability to identify and disposition Non-Conformances.
    • Ability to prepare a Project Quality Plan
    • Being able to identify and carryout a Punch list for Fabrication

    • Ability to asses cost of inspections and testing
    • Familiar with NDE Procedures and Test
    • Familiar with Fabrication process for combustion equipment and/or piping, vessels, etc.
    • Familiar with Welding
    • Organized and able to meet deadlines
    • Must be able to Multi-Task
    • Must be able to prioritize
    • Must be able to lead Pre-Inspection and other customer meetings
