Job Description

This engineer will join the Research and Development team that creates state of the art software for semiconductor analysis, employing modern programming techniques and practices. Engage in research, prototyping, documenting and testing activities. Work on solving problems in cutting edge silicon technologies. The ideal candidate should be able to exhibit a strong foundation on computer science and eagerness to learn complex and diverse technologies.
Must have:
  • Participate in the design, implementation, optimization, maintenance, testing and documentation of complex software systems.
  • Design and implement algorithms, data structures and software architectures for computationally demanding tasks.
  • Understand and employ software development best practices, including multi-paradigm programming models (generic/functional/OO), code reviews and continuous integration.
  • Participate in bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.
  • Investigate problems, discovered by QA or product support, and develop solutions.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Summary / Role Purpose

This engineer will join the Research and Development team that creates state of the art software for semiconductor analysis, employing modern programming techniques and practices. Engage in research, prototyping, documenting and testing activities. Work on solving problems in cutting edge silicon technologies. The ideal candidate should be able to exhibit a strong foundation on computer science and eagerness to learn complex and diverse technologies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, implementation, optimization, maintenance, testing and documentation of complex software systems.
  • Design and implement algorithms, data structures and software architectures for computationally demanding tasks.
  • Understand and employ software development best practices, including multi-paradigm programming models (generic/functional/OO), code reviews and continuous integration.
  • Participate in bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products. Investigate problems, discovered by QA or product support, and develop solutions.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • BS in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or other natural science disciplines with 2 years’ experience or MS
  • Working experience in technical software development proven by academic, research, or industry projects. Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures and modern programming paradigms and patterns

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team.
  • Programming skills in a strongly-typed high-performance language (C++)
  • Working experience on Linux systems and development tools.
  • Python programming skills
  • Technical knowledge and experience with CMOS technologies and EDA.
