Bosch Home Comfort is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the Southwest to drive Residential HVAC sales through the Plumbing and HVAC wholesale distribution channel. This role involves managing manufacturer's rep agencies, expanding market share, and developing new business partners. Responsibilities include sales calls to distributors, contractors, builders, architects, and engineers, as well as developing sales plans and market strategies. The position also requires providing sales, training, and operational support for wholesale accounts and manufacturer reps in the assigned region, increasing product knowledge among professionals, and managing market planning and distributor/rep relationships. The role demands up to 80% regional travel.
Must have:
  • 5+ years selling technology-based products in B2B.
  • 5+ years calling on contractors with strong industry knowledge.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Job Description

Drive new Residential HVAC Sales through the Plumbing and HVAC wholesale distribution channel by managing manufacturer’s rep agencies, expanding share of wallet with current distribution and developing new business partners for the Bosch portfolio. Success in the position will also include sales calls on distributor branches and with distributor salesmen to contractors, builders, architects and engineers. A key responsibility will be to develop a sales plan and market development strategy to drive growth of the Bosch HVAC portfolio and hit assigned targets.  Provide necessary sales, training and operational support for all Bosch Home Comfort wholesale accounts and manufacturer reps in assigned region. Increase knowledge of product offerings to contractors, architects and engineers in your territory. Key activities include market planning, distributor account management and manufacturer rep management. This position requires regional travel up to 80% of the time with 20% based from a home office.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Reps, wholesalers, contractors, architects and engineers in your assigned territory.
  • Complete sales calls in a wholesale distribution environment representing the product line to the wholesaler and assisting wholesaler present our products to the contractor.
  • Manage reps in the territory.
  • Understand and maintain the company’s wholesale pricing fundamentals and marketing programs.
  • Train and educate builders, contractors, architects and engineers in your assigned territory on the product line.
  • Plan and/or participate in trade shows and/or other marketing and sales initiatives in your region

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years proven experience selling a technology-based product, preferably in the business-to-business marketplace.
  • 5+ years experience calling on contractors and strong industry knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to support a rapidly growing account base while increasing sales year over year. Proven track record of generating and closing sales leads.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Accepts additional challenges and willingly assists others. Other key characteristics - self-reliant; demonstrates imagination; innovative thinker; highly productive and self-motivated; responds well to changing requirements and needs; flexible; adaptable.
  • Goal oriented, self-starter, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills; able to articulate clearly and effectively over the phone and in person.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, ACT and Excel. Ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Other Job Requirements/Work Environment Characteristics:

  • Travel required up to 80% of the time in the territories listed. Occasional travel required to other states. Travel to the northeast for sales and company meetings approximately four times per year.
  • Hands-on installation support and training will be delivered at customer locations.
  • Employee will be based out of home office 20% of the time.
