Role Overview
The Salesforce Engineering Manager leads cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-quality Salesforce solutions. This role combines technical leadership, project management, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure Salesforce development aligns with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of Salesforce Developers, Admins, and QA Analysts.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career development.
2. Technical Strategy & Execution
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and APIs.
- Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices, coding standards, and secure development protocols.
- Guide architectural decisions and participate in peer reviews and technical design sessions.
3. Project & Delivery Management:
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation to ensure on-time delivery.
- Implement Agile methodologies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Coordinate release management and DevOps processes using tools like Copado, Git, and Jenkins.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Actively participate in discovery calls and architecture review meetings.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
5. Quality Assurance & Support:
- Oversee testing strategies including functional, regression, and automated testing.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and troubleshoot production issues promptly.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation including ERDs, process flows, and architectural decisions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Deep expertise in Salesforce platforms (Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, Health Cloud).
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile delivery models.
- Strong understanding of microservices, relational databases, and APIs.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Salesforce Certified Administrator / Advanced Administrator.
- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder.
- Salesforce Certified Data Architect or Application Architect.
- Experience in financial services or healthcare domains is a plus.
