Job Description

Responsible for full spectrum of accounting functions including AR, AP, GL, balance sheet reconciliation, and P&L analysis. This role involves analyzing costs, sales results, and performance variances, ensuring compliance with CAE and local policies. The Senior Accountant will manage month-end/year-end closing, prepare financial packages, support forecasting and budgeting, and collaborate with auditors and consultants for statutory filings. The position also requires ensuring compliance with IFRS and local legislation, interfacing with stakeholders, and supporting assigned tasks.
Must have:

  • Ensure accounting process compliant with CAE & local policies.
  • In charge of month-end/year-end closing, preparing financial package.
  • Support monthly Forecasting and Budgeting.
  • Collaborate with Auditors, Tax and Legal Consultants.
  • Ensure compliance to IFRS, local accounting standards and all local legislation.
  • Interface with local business stakeholders, Regional Finance in Malaysia and Montreal Finance.
  • Bachelor degree in finance or accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant Australia.
  • Minimum 5 years in accounting and financial management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP accounting software, excel & other MS tools.
  • IFRS and financial reporting technical skills.

About This Role

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for full spectrum of accounting functions AR, AP, GL plus reconcile BS and perform PL analysis.
  • Analyze costs, sales results, and the company’s actual performance to provide variances explanations.
  • Ensure the entire accounting process compliant with CAE & local policies and procedures, accurate, and record in timely manner.
  • In charge of month-end/year-end closing, preparing financial package.
  • Support monthly Forecasting and Budgeting.
  • Collaborate with Auditors, Tax and Legal Consultants to meet the local statutory filing and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance to IFRS, local accounting standards and all local legislation.
  • Interface with local business stakeholders, Regional Finance in Malaysia and Montreal Finance (tax/treasury/accounting).
  • Support any tasks as and when assigned.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in finance or accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant Australia.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in accounting and financial management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP accounting software, excel & other MS tools.
  • IFRS and financial reporting technical skills.
