Toppan Merrill has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Benefits Analyst to join our St Paul, MN team. You will manage US and international (UK) benefit offerings, plans, compliance, and programs to align with the organization's strategy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee employee health and welfare programs to ensure competitiveness, cost-effectiveness, compliance, and proper documentation.
- Evaluate corporate benefit plans and programs to align with organizational strategy.
- Monitor trends and legislative requirements to estimate impact.
- Provide management with employee benefits data findings.
- Manage annual benefit renewal and open enrollment process and timeline, including benefit review and recommendations, preparing employee materials, and monitoring enrollment process.
- Administer retirement plans, such as 401(k) plans, including handle hardship withdrawals, non-discrimination testing and match true-up calculations.
- Manage and foster relationships with external partners (vendor management, broker, and ERISA attorney) to ensure quality service and administration of plans.
- Ensure compliance with benefits programs, including retirement program compliance for the annual 401(k) audit documentation, pension plans, ACA reporting, and compliance notices.
- Investigate and resolve questions regarding delivery and payment for services by contacting health care professionals and other service providers, benefit plan providers, and employees.
- Review and edit Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and other required documents to ensure plans are communicated accurately and conform to applicable laws and regulations and advise management of fiduciary matters.
- Monitor administrative costs of benefit programs and recommend cost containment strategies, including alternative methods for administration and funding.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, finance or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of benefits-related experience.
- Minimum 2 years of benefit analyst-related experience.
- Extensive 401(k) administrator and audit experience.
- Experience in reviewing plan documents and service agreements, filing 5500s and annual PPACA reporting.
- Proficiency in working with technical platforms for data set up, troubleshooting, and reporting on data or metrics; demonstrates initiative to learn new data and technology skills.

We understand that your skills deserve recognition. That's why we offer a competitive pay scale ranging from $90,000 – 110,000 annually, based on experience and expertise. We believe in compensating our dedicated team members fairly for their hard work and commitment.
