Slack's mission is to make working life simpler, more pleasant, and more productive. We're looking for a Senior Creative with a focus on film to join our brand team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in creating compelling videos that showcase the impact of Slack on businesses and individuals around the world.
**What You'll Do**
You'll be a key player in shaping the creative vision for our video content. This means you'll be responsible for:
- Telling powerful stories: Develop bold, engaging narratives about Slack — our product, our customers, and our initiatives.
- Driving the creative process: Take ownership of video projects from concept to completion. You'll craft the narrative, establish the aesthetic, write treatments and scripts, and build shot lists. You are comfortable leading a production set and guiding a project through post-production. Hands-on experience with capturing and editing is a significant plus.
- Collaborating and leading: Partner with external studios and agencies, ensuring all work aligns with our brand guidelines and meets high creative standards. You'll also champion cross-functional collaboration, mentor team members, and provide a strong creative point of view with clear rationale.
- Managing projects: Prioritize your work effectively and communicate those priorities to a variety of stakeholders. You'll be adept at managing multiple projects with lots of moving parts, all with an uncanny attention to detail.
**What You'll Bring**
We're looking for a strategic and results-driven creative with a passion for brand and advertising. You should have:
- 7-10 years of experience as a professional copywriter, art director, or content creator.
- A diverse portfolio showcasing a high volume of video work, from social media content and product demos to hype films and brand spots.
- A deep understanding of Slack's brand voice and our users, along with best practices for various video channels like YouTube, Instagram, and commercial platforms.
- Proven leadership and adaptability, with the ability to manage projects through changing timelines and scopes.
- A strong knowledge of film production agencies and a network of professionals to tap into.
- An innate curiosity and proactivity — you're always current on trends and ready to jump in and help wherever needed.
