Job Description

Techland is looking for a versatile and gaming-oriented Senior Digital Artist to join our in-house Creative Marketing Team. You will work with multiple stakeholder groups and create exciting key arts, key visuals, screenshots, graphics and other multimedia content for our AAA titles’ marketing campaigns using game engines, 3D tools, digital illustrations, design programs and more.

Our ideal candidate is a gaming-oriented designer with a solid creative background, well-versed in working with art and illustration, and has a broad understanding of graphic design, illustration, and visual communication. You should be able to conceptualize communication ideas, understand human anatomy, create enticing designs, and be capable of creating key arts and key visuals using 3D graphic creation tools (Maya, Blender, etc.) or have knowledge of one or more game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) with the ability to work directly within them.

Your daily tasks:

  • Creating exciting key arts and key visuals using a variety of tools, including our proprietary engine and 3D programs.
  • Designing high-quality screenshots that showcase the gameplay, graphics, and key features of our games.
  • Maintaining a consistent visual style and branding across all assets to ensure a recognizable game identity.
  • Participating in brainstorming and generating ideas for various needs.
  • Developing a wide range of concepts, graphics and designs.
  • Constantly looking for better ways of solving problems and designing solutions, while not being afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Taking designs through all stages from idea or brief to execution.
  • Acting as a creative partner for your colleagues.
  • Ensuring consistency between brief and designs.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in gaming.
  • The ability to work with 3D graphic creation tools (e.g., Maya, Blender, etc.).
  • The ability to deliver designs with only a small amount of pre-existing materials.
  • Knowledge of one or more game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) and the ability to work directly in them.
  • Illustration/art background and understanding of human anatomy.
  • Experience in setting scenes, characters, lighting and cameras in a 3D environment.
  • Skills in composition, color grading and lighting.
  • Knowledge of rendering and post-processing techniques.
  • Understanding of the differences between the various styles of game art.
  • Excellent computer graphics skills and experience with image editing tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator etc.).
  • Experience working on video game marketing campaigns.
  • Knowledge of gaming industry and marketing trends and standards.
  • The ability to work under strict deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A good command of the English language.
  • Seasoned design expertise with deep insight into newest methods, trends, and design operations.
  • Experience working on projects that span multiple organizations and business units.
