Enphase Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer/Staff Software Full Stack Developer to join their new Digital Transformation platform team. The role involves architecting, designing, and developing a complex microservices-based software system with integrations and workflows to enhance customer experience using cloud technologies. The engineer will build applications and services for homeowners, installers, and customer support within the solar energy domain. Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure applications, following best engineering practices like clean code and test automation, debugging complex applications, and contributing to feature changes handling millions of requests daily.
Must have:
  • 4+ years of software development experience
  • Excellent JavaScript/Node.js skills
  • Proficiency in React/Redux, HTML, CSS
  • Solid experience in microservices and API development
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Understanding of protocols like HTTP, MQTT, SSL
  • Proficient with Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, automated tests
  • Experience with Agile and TDD methodologies
Good to have:
  • Experience in AWS Cloud Platform
  • Knowledge of PaaS services
  • Experience in Renewable Tech companies

About the role  
  
Enphase is building a brand new Digital Transformation platform team, and as part of this team, the engineer will work on architecting, designing and developing a complex software system based on microservices architecture, with several integrations and workflows to provide seamless, best in class experience to millions of customers, using the latest cloud technologies.
Enable Enphase to succeed in Solar Energy domain by building application and services for various stakeholders of the company including homeowners, installers and customer support.
 
What you will do 
  • Design and implement scalable, reliable, performant and secure applications & services in the realm of microservices, web services, batch jobs, web applications, data processing, device integration
  • Ability to develop software programs with best of design patterns, data structures & algorithms
  • Follow and implement best of the software engineering processes that include clean code, test automations (TDD), monitoring, performance bench marking etc.
  • Work in very challenging and high performance environment to clearly understand and provide state of the art solutions (via design and code)
  • Ability to debug complex applications and help in providing durable fixes
  • Ability to understand, debug and work on other application platforms using React and Node.js
  • Responsible for delivering feature changes and functional additions that handle millions of requests per day while adhering to quality and schedule targets
Who you are and what you bring  
  • B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering from top tier college and > 70% marks
  • 4+ years of solid software development experience in developing cloud-based applications
  • Excellent JavaScript / Node.js programming skills with effective use of design patterns, data structure and algorithms
  • Excellent in React /Redux, HTML, CSS
  • Solid experience in microservices and API development using Express.js, REST principles, cloud design patterns
  • Proven experience of developing applications on top of Relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, MongoDb, AWS DynamoDb
  • Excellent understanding protocols & concepts such HTTP, MQTT, SSL, Public Key infrastructure (PKI), oAuth, SAML
  • Proficient in working in the environment with tools such as GIT, Jenkins, SonarQube, automated tests (jUnit), Maven, Gradle
  • Knowledge and experience of having worked in AWS Cloud Platform (or Azure / GCP). Good understanding and experience on PaaS services like File & object Storage, Message Queues/Bus, SQL/NoSQL, Identity and Access management, Load balancers etc
  • Good knowledge and experience with Agile, Clean Code, TDD methodologies   
  • Collaborate with the development team, architect, product manager, and UX designer to convert the mock to web / mobile application pages/flow/visual representation.
  • Able to identify and resolve web api performance issues. 
  • Exposure or knowledge in Renewable Tech companies
