Job Description

CAE is seeking a Senior ILS Manager (m/f/d) to join their Customer & Training Services Team in Stolberg, Germany. This role involves conducting all Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) activities, including obsolescence management and FMEA. The manager will optimize logistical properties, perform various LSA analyses, determine reliability values, and maintain ILS databases. Responsibilities also include creating ILS documents, supporting offer creation, and coordinating with customers on ILS concepts.
Must have:
  • Conduct all ILS activities, Obsolescence Management, and FMEA.
  • Optimize logistical properties and determine required logistical resources.
  • Perform LSA and related analyses (RA&M, RCM, MTA, LORA, Spare Parts Analysis, STTE, LCC).
  • Determine reliability values (MTBF) from field data.
  • Maintain ILS relevant databases.
  • Create ILS documents: ILS plans, LSA plans, RA&M plans, Obsolescence reports, maintenance manuals.
  • Support offer creation and ILS effort calculation.
  • Participate in program plan creation.
  • Support logistical activities.
  • Prepare and conduct ILS Guidance Conferences with customers.
  • Completed (FH) degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable position.
  • Analytical thinking and judgment.
  • Technical-economic understanding.
  • Coordination, persuasion, and organizational skills.
  • Very good German and English language skills.
  • Very good team and communication skills.
  • Occasional willingness to travel for business.

About This Role

We are the subsidiary of a globally leading provider of simulation and training technology for pilots and flying personnel. We develop, produce, and support state-of-the-art training devices for flight and land simulation, as well as networked simulation applications. Our approximately 500 employees in Germany work in international teams and face exciting challenges daily.

To strengthen our Customer & Training Services Team at our company headquarters in Stolberg near Aachen, located in the tri-border region of Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, we are looking for you as a

Senior ILS Manager (m/f/d)

as soon as possible.

Your Tasks:

  • Execution of all ILS (Integrated Logistic Support) activities, obsolescence management, and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
  • Optimization of logistical properties and determination of required logistical resources for systems.
  • Execution of LSA (Logistic Support Analysis) and all associated analyses according to common standards within the scope of your tasks, such as:
  • Reliability, Availability & Maintainability (RA&M)
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
  • Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA)
  • Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
  • Spare Parts Analysis
  • Special Tools and Test Equipment (STTE)
  • Life Cycle Cost (LCC)
  • Determination of reliability values (MTBF: Mean Time Between Failures) based on field data and according to common standards.
  • Maintenance of ILS relevant databases.
  • Creation of documents in the field of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS): ILS plans, LSA plans, RA&M plans, obsolescence reports, contribution to the creation of maintenance manuals.
  • Support in the creation of offers, calculation of ILS effort within the scope of offers.
  • Participation in the creation of program plans.
  • Support for logistical activities.
  • Preparation and execution of ILS Guidance Conferences with the customer for discussion and occasional coordination of the ILS concept based on contractual requirements.

Your Profile:

  • Successfully completed (FH) degree in Aerospace Engineering or Electrical Engineering or comparable.
  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable position.
  • Analytical thinking and judgment.
  • Technical-economic understanding.
  • Coordination skills, persuasiveness, organizational talent.
  • Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Very good team and communication skills.
  • Occasional willingness to travel for business.
