Must have:
  • Upload your Industrial Design portfolio as part of your application.
  • Lead multiple project teams responsible for all stages of industrial design and development for complex products and platforms.
  • Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced partners on industrial design and development.
  • Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with industrial design guidelines and standards.
  • Manage implementation schedule including coordinating timelines with internal project managers and external partners.
  • Provide domain-specific expertise and overall industrial design leadership to cross-organization projects.
  • Showcase the ability to execute the vision, create detailed roadmaps, and drive technical solutions.
  • Drive innovation and integration of new technologies and design language.
  • Develop continual improvement roadmaps and oversee deployment across multiple functions.
  • Guide the project team to meet schedules and milestones with high performance.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.
Good to have:
  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Leads multiple project teams of other designers and internal and outsourced partners responsible for all stages of industrial design and development for a portfolio of complex products and platforms, including design architecture, language, validation, and specifications.
  • Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced partners on industrial design and development.
  • Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with industrial design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and user experience.
  • Manages implementation schedule including coordinating timelines with internal project managers and external partners.
  • Provides domain-specific expertise and overall industrial design leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
  • Showcases the ability to execute the vision, create detailed roadmaps, and drive technical solutions to make a compelling business case with senior executives.
  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and design language into projects and activities in the industrial design organization.
  • Develops continual improvement roadmaps and oversees the deployment of these strategies across multiple functions.
  • Guides the project team to meet schedules and milestones with high performance.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design , or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in industrial design and development of physical hardware products and systems, or a related field.

The pay range for this role is $115,850 to $178,400 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
