Job Description

This internship involves assisting a core team of engineers in developing and delivering products and solutions for HP's next-generation Thermal InkJet (TIJ) Print Technology. Interns will be assigned mentors and undertake engineering projects, gaining experience in tooling design, product design, process development, product quality, writing systems, test and audit tools, and reliability testing.
Must Have:
  • Bachelor undergraduate in Mechanical/Design Engineering
  • Some experience in mechanical design, systems test, statistical analysis, analytical/experimental techniques
  • Able to commit for a full-time 5-6 months internship starting in May 2026
  • Ability to partner & work independently
  • Ability to apply engineering fundamentals & concepts
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Failure Analysis and characterization
  • Data Analysis and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Design components/subsystems using CAD
  • Integrate new designs into existing processes
  • Ability to generate test plans, provide short-loop test methods and tools to allow risk assessment
  • Ability to work and interact effectively with team members from other disciplines, cultures, organizations
  • Teamwork and ability to collaborate and communicate ideas is highly valued
  • Growth mindset
