Job Description

The Current Product Engineer will provide technical support to operations, response team, operation launch, and warranty related to product electrical or mechanical behavior and design, owning product design of current production as an EE or ME integrator.
Must Have:
  • Give technical support to operations, response team, operation launch and warranty related to the product electrical or mechanical behavior and design.
  • Own product design of current production as an EE or ME integrator.
  • Keep manager / leader informed, follow escalation process, and communicate “need to know” issues in time.
  • Initial assessment and technical evaluation of changes.
  • Manage SCR/EWO. Support PCE as required.
  • DFMEA – Review when a change impacts it and before a change is implemented.
  • Follow Configuration Management II process for product and supplier on GES.
  • Determine root cause and implement corrective actions for design, software, systems, and CCNV according to DPS requirements.
  • Perform product systems checkout, memory verification, and product tear down as required according to system documentation and equipment availability.
  • Participate / demand MBOM, EBOM, and drawing reviews.
  • Support First Time Quality and scrap improvement initiatives in identifying root causes. Participate in cost savings as well as waste buster initiatives.
  • Review / initiate / communicate Lesson Learned.
  • Understand thoroughly Quality Plan, Process Specifications, and Work Instructions on product specifics.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and insure availability of spare parts. Submit capital / expense equipment request.
  • Support manufacturing operations on product specifics according to procedures, process specifications, and related document.
  • Manage product diagnostics technician based on skills and manufacturing needs.
  • Participate in related team and operations meetings as required.
  • Participate in MRB’s for substitute material.
  • Perform product analysis for APR, WAR, and FFM. Document findings according to DPS requirements.
  • Report failure analysis using SICAP.
  • Recommend / evaluate internal / external suppliers’ responses on technical perspective.
  • Provide technical product support to CSE. Inform CSE on product technical specifics changes.
  • Customer sites support as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (mechatronics, electrical, or related field of study).
  • Drawings interpretation knowledge.
  • Basic computer software knowledge.
  • English fluent.
  • Detail knowledge of the product.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems.

YOUR ROLE

The Current Product Engineer on our team shall be responsible to give technical support to operations, response team, operation launch and warranty related to the product electrical or mechanical behavior and design.

In your daily job you will:

  • Own product design of current production as an EE or ME integrator.
