Engineering Team Manager

Aptiv is seeking an Engineering Team Manager to lead a team of 10-15 engineers in Bangalore, India. The role involves managing resource planning, project deliverables, risks, quality, and customer requirements. The manager will streamline software development processes, provide technical direction, conduct project reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in advanced safety systems, high-performance electrification, and data connectivity solutions for the future of mobility.

Must Have

• Manage a team of 10 – 15 engineers
• Manage resource planning and team development aligned with business needs
• Build and maintain visual performance metrics for transparency and quality
• Manage project deliverables with adherence to schedule
• Manage risks, quality and customer requirements
• Streamline software development process across OEM projects
• Provide technical direction
• Conduct regular project reviews and take corrective action
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to bring innovation
• Overcome the obstacles of the owned modules
• BE/B.Tech (Electricals/Electronics/ Communication/ Instrumentation/ Robotics) or any PG with 12-14 years experience
• Min 12+ years in embedded Automotive Embedded Software Development
• ADAS Algorithm development with good understanding and experience in leading group of engineers
• Min 2+ years in leading Project Execution
• Customer interface experience
• People management
• Software project management experience involving multi-site development
• Proficient in Embedded C, C++ or Model based development
• Good understanding of ASPICE
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies

Your Background

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

• BE/B.Tech (Electricals/Electronics/ Communication/ Instrumentation/ Robotics)/Any PG with an experience of 12-14 years
• Min 12+ years in embedded Automotive Embedded Software Development
• ADAS Algorithm development with good understanding and experience in leading group of engineers
• Min 2+ years in leading Project Execution
• Customer interface experience, people management
• Software project management experience involving multi-site development
• Proficient in Embedded C, C++ or Model based development
• Critical & proactive thinker with excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills
• Good understanding of ASPICE
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
